You're catching me mid merge! My internet connection is flaky today so I didn't want to say I was "on the case" until I could prove it. I'm working on Humility Cooper and really appreciate the links you posted, made it much easier for me. But now I have to fix up the Webb family her profile got conflated with, as you correctly surmised.

It's not a history issue. It's a bad merge from a bad GEDCOM upload issue. Curators are here to help straighten out the tree -- easier said than done sometimes.

What's your family line? Have you thought about using our new Project tool to get it straightened out?

Of course geni now has me merging Buckminster / Buckmaster's, which would be annoying except there's an Alice Reede in the picture, and I have Reades, so maybe there's a (real) connection to be made.

On the other hand I've been working for months on my Mystery Jackson women so most likely not.

Hi Rodney, just found this site and I have to agree with you about ending Cooper. I was in the UK and found the marriage papers for Humilitie Wheaton but never found her death. I still believe the 1687 date in the USA is for her.

I just dont understand people that say Christopher came over with 5 brothers and their father is Alexander Webb. Does anyone have any proof of Alexander in there? Show me a christening record for Christopher Webb and I might believe. The farthest back I can prove is Christopher in Crediton, Devon, UK and could not find anything that talks about where he was from.

Have done the DNA bit and still cant get beyond Crediton, UK. See http://www.webbdnaproject.org/ for some trails but not farther than Crediton.

Would love to chat about this and see how to proceed!!
