I am going to need assistance on this area of the Lee/Leigh lineage that we had worked on and had corrected with the project - it was all sourced up, MP'd and with notes not to revised, but a curator went in and deleted, revised and added incorrect information that is not documented, and has not given reasons to her changes. Here are some of the revisions:

Bartholet "Tholet" Lee
Matilda Lee
William Lee
William Lee

And another area also: Unknown Profile

Your site shows how you have merged many different william Lees together from NC, VA and TN. I went in and separated them with the appropriate wife/wives. I locked them down so they couldn't be remerged.

That is not what happened - and the appropriate wives were attached. I am sorry but the above reference is not what was reflected here on geni and you did not even consult me prior to the revisions. The documentation showed all the correct data - the change came from you disconnecting the original William Lee as the husband of Matilda Olney - then creating a new William Lee profile - then you attached Matilda's original correct husband to a whole new line and disconnected all of the original children - and without and sources to legitimately justify this. There were notes to not revise after those of us who worked on their project and MP'd the profiles because of the previous errors and bad merges. I am really disappointed and upset over this and cannot logically see why you did what you did.

Sally, it always gripes me when there are curators notes like these but the corrections are not done. The bad profiles should be removed and maybe the profile should be locked.

about another problem here, in the Stickney line. My guts tell me this merge should be made, however, I am worried not only about the correct gender, but the name emot and emol appearing as bother and sister, ot the person who should be merged.... do you see what I mean?

It's hard to tell if it's corrections not made, or whether subsequent mergers have ignored the curator note, because they no better.

Locking only means that the data in the profile must be approved by a curator. There is no way to lock relationships. So, FOR EXAMPLE, anyone can come through and make James Stuart the son of Elizabeth Tudor, because after all, he was the next king of England, so he MUST have been her son, right?

Here is another dicey deal. I am pretty sure there are some mixed generations in here... Can anyone shed some light on this, better yet, can it be fixed?

I thank you kindly, all of you, for your help. I am really handicapped here, with limited isp service and power. In addition to those issues being very spotty, When I do have an isp (which I can only connect to using a wireless USB device), the service only allows me 1 gig a month. If I use it up before the end of the month, I also cannot get on. This is why you often don't see me here toward the middle or the end of each month.

It was still a pending merge, I looked at it, and agree that it should not be done. It was mixing generations. I have cancelled the merge. Good call and thank you.

Could someone please re-add me as a manager to my 7th great-grandmother. If you look at the revision history you will see that I was a manager at one time. Also the notes in the "About Me" were added by me when I was a manager.

Could a curator please look at the parents connected to my 8th great-grandmother Elizabeth Crawford (Smith)? All the sources that I have found show her parents as George Smith and Mary Uknown of Virginia. Also there is a John Crawford attached as a husband when the only records I have found say that her only husband was Captain David Crawford.

There are no easy answers here.

Option 1 - let the curator know that the Master Profile has had changes and needs attention

Option 2 - If someone is comfortable with the changes, and the documentation is clear, and they have the appropriate permissions, then I think they could follow the curator notes and make the appropriate changes.

Option 3 - the notes are unclear then someone could add notes and make the appropriate corrections, hopefully notifiying the curator during the process.

I would have no trouble with you, Eldon, making changes to match the notes, or to match your research.

Janet, I removed Constance Dudley then said no to the merge because of different parents but the merge is still there :-(

Suggestions:

a. Try searching ... maybe I'm just not searching right? If you can find, post the links.

b. If we can't find them, start new profiles for George Smith + Mary Unknown, be sure and source well, and let me know when done. Then I attach correctly.
