If they are not removed now it will end up in a mess again when the two profiles Birgitte Nielsdatter are merged.

Samuel Bolling

Curators:
My ancestor Samuel Bolling told a big lie about his parentage, in order to convince people he was a descendant of John Rolfe and Pocahontas (Matoaka). The lie has been exposed by genetic testing (in his profile you can see links to the facts in other online articles).

Now we need your help. In Samuel's Geni profile, he has two sets of parents. The CORRECT answer is William Bolling and Ann ***. (The WRONG answer is William L Bolling and Amelia Randolph Bolling -- that association should be removed.)

I have tried to "assign parents" but Geni blocks me saying that this will cause the tree to split -- which is probably exactly what needs to happen, although I can't tell exactly what the results of that "split" would be.

I sent a note out to another of Samuel's managers but haven't heard a response.

Please remove William L and Amelia as Samuel's parents.

Sorry, that was Anne Sims Bolling, who is Samuel's true mother.

If another curator more familiar with the Bolling tree doesn't get to this before I can I will try and pick this up later on the weekend.

What has happened to geni the pull down menus etc are now all in a foreign language I DO NOT UNDERSTAND - - I have touched no setting or changed any setting on my page for it this is the the only thin i understand I have a request I can't even get and find 'add manager' this is frustrating

need help with this profile: Lars Arneson Toft

There are 3 persons called Brita Fjellsende, hence we made a mess out of the tree.

Lars toft is married to Brita Larsdatter Toft (Fjellsende) (1765-1841).
Lars is son of Brita Larsdatter Toft (Fjellsende) (1731-1810) .
His Aunt is Brita Larsdatter Mykinghellen (Fjellsende) (1737-1813)

Can someone help?

To add to the confusion all 3 Brita Fjellsende has a father called Lars and a mother called Ingeborg.

Martin, have a look to see if my lil' intervention did the trick? I must say, it did get my head spinning. There were quite a few connections to be moved around, and I hope it all ties together neatly now (I cross-checked with some online sources). Please tell and I'll amend, if necessary.

If I may add, much of the confusion seems to to stem from the use of married names for many ladies in that tree. Where possible, I tried to implement the maiden name, and that made it much clearer already :-)

Is married to Arne and Lars Arneson Toft, that is wrong, she should only be married to Arne.
Brita Larsdatter Eseim is daughter of Lars, the rest is children of Arne.

Sorry for the lack of imagination in my family, I am sure they knew more names than Brita and Lars :-)
