Hi,

I made a mistake in my tree http://www.geni.com/family-tree#6000000012580923590
and trying to fix it I made a real mess of it
Could you please remove the connection between William Charles Edward Waterreus and Jacob(us) (Theodori) Watereus

If i try to remove the parents for @Jacob(us) (Theodori) Dirkse it gives the message that it will split the tree, but it would not (there is a circle relation now)

Job this looks like it is the Private part of your Tree, unfortunately we have no access to it, you may have to contact Geni.

Sorry, I made some changes
Annie Price en Franciscus Waterreus should not be connected
and
William Charles edward Waterreus and Neeltje Pieters should not be connected

Anges,

Thanks,
How do I contact Geni about this (Could you correct this if I made it Public?)

What year are most of these profiles from?

how can @roger gum (1649-) have been spouse to @Mathilda Gum (Holcombe) (1757-)? Very difficult to sort out this part of the tree.

How do I add a person from scratch (i.e., not yet part of a tree)? I know we share a common ancestor and I want to start working with what I know and work backward.
Thank you,
Nancy

Angus,

Most are recent. All together it is not too much. May be I should just start over. Can I remove the account and then start over with a new account using the same e-mail address

Job Waterreus,
an easier solution would be to ask one of us Curators if we would be willing to be invited to [temporarily] join your Family-Group. If they agreed we would be able to see this tree.

Kahn,

I found a way on the help to ask for assistance so I now have a request (6055) pending. Thanks for your help.
If that request does not solve I will try your suggestion.

Nancy--I would love to know how to do this too! I could not figure out how to do it on Geni so I joined Ancestry.com, which lets you make separate trees & then you can "work backwards" to the common ancestor. It has worked great for me; I've managed to join about three of them so far.

Iif you can do it with Geni, I would love to know how!

Nancy & M. F-N:

• add a child somewhere in your existing tree,
• save the URL/PID to the child,
• cut the parent relationship.

Now you have a standalone profile.

The Rankin line really is a problem. I have emailed many many times with no response, lates was yesterday, I have also requested collabroation, with no response.

In the meantime, I also have this profile of Abel Smith b. 1792 which also remains private, with no way to check if he indeed really is the husband of Mary Stickney, or not. I have emailed the profile holder today.

Abel Smith

Should this be merged? What do you all think?

http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000000152492158?return=duplic...

One more bothersom thing that I am finding.
I have a merge here that should be done.. All looks well except there are 2 different last names for the profile of Hannah... I am using the source of John Marshall Raymonds 1964 Teel Family and David Thomas Family of Middleboro... and I find no mention of Hannah Tupper, only Hannah Turner.
Can one of you curators take a look at this merge and tell me what I should do?
http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000012568155274?return=duplic...

I am worried about this merge.... the wives are the problem.... Any one able to shed light on this? Does anyone have any primary sources available on correct names of wives?

Sally may find this footnote helpful:

HANNAH HATCH3, daughter of Samuel Hatch of Scituate, by His wife Mary2 Doty Edward1, was born on 15 or 16 February, 1681-2, and was married three times. She married, first, Japhet Turner, of Scituate, but the date of the marriage has not been found. Japhet Turner died before 23 January, 1710-11, when his inventory was ta ken, and left four children. Hannah, who married William Thomas Japhet, who married Elizabeth Morse Israel, who marr ied Abigail Holmes Elizabeth, who married John Pratt. Hannah Hatch3 Turner married, second, on 9 July, 1719 , Ebenezer Tinkham4 Ebenezer3, Mary2 Brown, Peter1, o f Middleorough, Mass., as his second wife. Ebenezer Tinkham4 died before 7 November, 1726, when Shubael Tinkham4 , his broth er, was appointed administrator. Hannah Hatch3 Turner Tinkham married, third, on 23 De c e mber, 1729, Capt. Ichabod Tupper, of Middleborough, who died in 1748, leaving children by a former wife. Hannah Hatch3 Turner Tinkham Tupper, widow of Capt . Ichabod Tupper, died 13 April, 1771, in her 91st year , a ccording to the record on her gravestone in the Nemasket Cemetery, at Middleborough. The day of the month is doubtful, as one date was written over the other. 98Hannah Hatchs Three Husbands No record of the marriage of Hannah Hatch3 to Japhet Turner has been found, and she was called Hannah Tinkham, in her father s will, made 13 June, 1728but the widow Ha nna h T upper, in her own will, dated 26 August, 1766, mentions my daughter Elizabeth Pratt, also my ten grandsons and my fifteen grandaughters, naming each of them. As these twenty-five grandchildren of widow Hannah Tupper can be proved to Have been the children of Japhet and H annah Turner s four children, Hannah Thomas, Japhet Turner, Israel Turner and Elizabeth Pratt, it is evident that the first Japhet Turners widow was the Hannah Turner who marrie d Ebenezer Tinkham and Capt. Ichabod Tupper. Ebenezer Tinkham4 Ebenezer3, Mary2 Brown, Peter1 was the only Tinkham who had a wife Hannah in 1728, when Samuel Hatch mentioned a daughter Hannah Tinkham in his will, and we have shown that Ebenezer married, for his second wife, Japhet Turners widow Hannah. Moreover the widow Hannah Tupper's age at death agrees closely with the birth date of Hannah Hatch3. It is evident, therefore, that Samuel Hatch's daughter Hannah and the widow Hannah Tupper were one and the same person. We here present exhaustive abstracts of all records, and original documents in the files, found in the Plymouth County, Mass., Registry of Probate, relating to the est ates of Ja phet Turner, Ichabod Tupper and widow Hannah Tupper. These abstracts have been made at the expense of Mrs . A . V . Heely, of Plainfield, N. J., who is a descendant of Hannah Turner5 Japhet4, Hannah Hatch3, Mary2 Doty , Edward1 , who married James Le Baron. The proper reference, to the record, or the original document in the files, is noted with each abstract. I believe that this is a reliable analysis, but it still means that there are conflicting sources on the parentage of Hannah Hatch.

Thanks, Douglas, that sheds a little more light on things... :-)

their are three joseph braggs, i am locked out so i can not change any of them. the wives are assigned to the wrong josephs. i have listed the dates of births and the correct wives to the best of my knowledge and reading. thanks. james daniel bragg.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,

Daniel Ryan Regan, Sr.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Enjoy your weekend, Karen

karen - You should be able to see it now

http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000008670973477

Can another Curator pls help James...

@Anchit, thanks for trying, but I'm still getting a "this will split the tree" error message for all of the parent choices for Daniel Regan.

Enjoy your day, Karen

Try again pls.

Ira Regan is shown now as Daniel Regan's father. No mother profile available.

@Anchit, thank you so much, you have performed a miracle for me! :-)

@Yigal, thank you, that is correct.

You are so kind, have a good weekend!
Karen

I have a request with Geni to fix a problem with my tree, but it is still not assigned, so it would problably be faster if one of the curators would be willing to look at it. It is in the private tree
it concerns the link between
Neeltje Pieters
Charles William Waterreus
This link makes a circle and that makes it difficult to remove it (it won't do it because it thinks it will split the tree)

I understand the curator who is willing to look at it has to be invited to see this part of the tree. I'm not quite sure how to do this

Hi Private User

We need some direction to a profile (55 million profiles in the tree)
