I have a requested merge for Walter Reginald Tindale from Peter Jager that I am unable to act on

http://www.geni.com/list/requested_merges

When I try i get the message "error you do have have permission..."

Can anyone see why this is?

Hatte,

No worries about the Mayflower descendants (direct or close as 4-5th cousintry) having 14 million descendants ... My GEDCOM has direct and to 5th cousintry from Adam to today (Historic Davidic Line) and has only approx. 360,000 (give or take) profiles ... :) Just a little trivia

LOL Jacki, I know people cite all sorts of statistics. Hopefully some of them will chime in here. 360,000 seems very slim!

No, not slim :) accurrate - were talking direct descendants of main line - alot more branch out :) I admit I am a nerd and approach it all scientifically.
I can send you a copy of my GEDCOM if you ever wish it. The Big Tree is a beautiful thing to behold :)

Sandra - can you post the two profiles? Requested merges takes me to MY requested merges of course.

Could someone also assist with this merge:

Thanks!

LOL - more accurate than my typo's :)

Hatte, I dove in and corrected the Booth line and messaged the managers that had incorrect data causing the conflicts. Hopefully this cleared things up - thank you for your offer to help though - mmuch appreciated cousin :)

Leslie Ann - a couple of the curators are Skipwith descendants and will know what to do with the first merge. I would be careful due to the great difference in the birth date.

Although they both look like they are duplicates. But I leave it to an expert on this family :)

Jacki - I'm waiting for the Geni statisticians to swoop in and tell us how many direct descendants between you and King David and how many descendants between prolific Mayflower passengers and the current generation.

I'll take a look at the Booth line. Thanks!

Anyhow: you can view all your deleted profiles and an option to restore them in the http://www.geni.com/list/deleted list. Just be aware that you might have to restore the connections manually.

The only last issue I am seeing is that Demetricia Booth and Mazey are the one and the same. I have emailed the manager to accept the merge.

arrghhhh!

Rev. Nathaniel Brewster

needs fixing again. Nathaniel is NOT descended fromk the Mayflower Brewsters. People keep adding him back in.

Can this profile be locked somehow? At least lock his parents?

@Beth - I'll take a look. I know that there has been a lot of vandalism in the mayflower lines today....
Tammy is the curator for Nathaniel-- so I'm tagging her to let her know I've removed the Mayflower connection.

Better yet, you can just view the list of profiles SL deleted: http://www.geni.com/list/deleted?focus_id=6000000001940246790

There was more than one set of changes in family lines in the past 24 - 49 hours Mike :) I don't think SL was involved in this one.

Thanks, Heather, for taking care of Nathaniel. I had just disconnected him from one wrong set of parents this morning! Someone had him as the son of Mayflower Pilgrim William Brewster and his wife. There were all kinds of references online saying they were absolutely not Nathaniel's parents. Did someone have him back as their son again?

yes, Tammy- back as as William Brewster's son, again....

Can I ask -- which curators are Skipwith descendants?

I truthfully don't remember. I'll ask and have them contact you.

Thanks for fixing and locking Nathaniel! I think some of his children are duplicates , but I haven't gotten that far yet :)

Thank you Hatte.

i realize this is kinda a zombie issue, but also a merge issue. i cant finish merging this area of the tree Herbert Hoover, 31st President of the United States can anyone help me finish cleaning it up?
thank you

David Andrew Dyer et al. My power went out this evening in a storm. Sorry, I wasn't abandoning you! (Of all days.)

So everyone knows where to go to view activity, deletions, etc. Good.

For the Brewsters, as mentioned, there have been some disruptions in the Mayflower lines. The related curators have been alerted and are on the case.

And, for the Blackwells and Warrens, this discussion sheds some light.
http://www.geni.com/discussions/93361?msg=692914 And, again, the related curators have been diligently rebuilding there all last night and today!

----

Even with the destruction, look at what forward progress has been made! Communication in both cases, resulted in intervention before they compounded. People rallied together. A testament to teamwork and the collaborative process.

Go Geni family!

Leslie Ann
I am a Skipwith descendant. Lady Diana Skipwith is my 9th great grandmother.

I am working on the Anne Skipwith merge.

Thank you MEZ! I thought it was you, but wasn't 100% certain.

I believe the two Anne Skipwiths are the same, even though the birthdates were so far off. I found a source for her marriage in 1662, so I went with the earlier date of birth.

Leslie, thanks so much for steering me this way. I did not have Honoura or her daughter Anne in my files. Now I do. I will get the sources added and make MP where I can.

Please let me know if I can help you with anyone else in this line. The Skipwith/Dale/Carter line is one of half a dozen families that connects me with most of the curators and many of my distant cousins here on Geni.

Leslie,

Ooops, wanted to give you this link, http://mhollick.typepad.com/slovakyankee/2010/01/the-royal-line-of-...
