Ok. Here's the problem. Sybil Kent was a dup and in the process of stacking I ended up disconnecting. Here's the record: "Sybil Kent was disconnected from her children Sophia Pomeroy, Ruth Pomeroy, Ralph Pomeroy and Sibble Pomeroy by Beth Beeman. "
Sybil Kent: Sybil Kent
Sophia Pomeroy: Sophia Pomeroy
Ruth Pomeroy: Ruth Pomeroy
Ralph Pomeroy: Ralph Moseley Pomeroy
Sibble Pomeroy: Sibble Pomeroy
Their parents are:
Sybil Kent: Sybil Kent
Daniel Pomeroy: Daniel Pomeroy...
I couldn't fix it because I cant edit the children's profiles as I am not a manager.
Anything you can do to help would be great! Thanks.
I did a bad, bad thing, and have no idea how to undo it. I had two separate profiles for myself; one for my biological family, and one for my adopted family. I was hoping, by merging them, to get both trees to show together. That didn't happen. Instead, only my adoptive family shows in tree view. Is there a way to split my profiles back apart, so the Ogle and Whitis side is completely separate from the Hallman and Powers side again?
Zebedee, you've actually done it the way we recommend, although I understand it's frustrating that Geni doesn't offer a full set of features to support adoption. Your profile now shows both your adoptive and biological parents, whereas the tree can only show one. You can certainly get to your biological tree, for example by viewing the tree of your biological parent.
I would suggest trying to work with it this way for a week or two -- post your challenges here and we'll offer suggestions. If you decide it's just not going to work, you'll have to add a new profile for yourself (remove one of your email addresses and use it to invite yourself as a brother) and then I can help you split your biological family from one profile, and your adoptive family from the other.

Hi. My problem - there is one person somebody Andrus Lung in my family tree connected with my sister Anneli Kahro as her ex-husband. His absolutely unkown and don't belong there. I will post this amongst the curators to see if they have any answers.
Anita I can try to address your problems -- let's take it out of the curator's discussion, though. Can you either start a discussion under the Geni Help project ( http://www.geni.com/discussions?discussion_type=project-396 ) or just send me an Inbox message?
Thank you Brittany! Anneli's profile is: Anneli Kahro . She is daughter of Vambola Kahro and Maile Kahro.
? to curators:
On this tree, we apparently have two different generations, but the birth date on the "daughter" is the same as the birth date on the "father". http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000002106251990 This appears to be a merge gone bad.
Other than looking at Revisions, how do we know what happened? I am finding no merges listed for Joseph or either Mary. I do see where Nicholas was merged in December, but if the Mary's or Joseph were updated based on that merge, shouldn't the Revision list show that?
What do you curators think? Should this be merged?

I am not doing it until I get a confirm. from those of you who are familiar with this line.

I tried to add this info to sources on Francis Baker, b 1611/12 and found that I can only scan a doc. Well, I dio not have a scanner. So how does one go about adding the following info?
taken from Descendants of Francis Baker of Yarmouth (data for the first 6 generations) a copy of this treatise is from the Rhode Island Historical Society, authored by Bertha W. Clark, printed July 3, 1951.
Francis Baker, tailor, embarked on the ship Planter of London on 2 Apr. 1635, bringing a certificate from the minister of Great St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England, and giving his age as 24. His parentage is not definitely known. He may have been the Francis Baker, son of Thomas, who was christened at St. James Clerkenwell, London, 7, July 1612. The age agrees exactly, and St. Albans is only 20 miles from London. Thomas Baker's wife was Frances Ingram, whom he married at St. James Clerkenwell, 24 Aur. 1592.
The Planter was bnound for Boston, and in that town Francis Baker resided for several years. On 1 June 1641 he reveived a grant of land near Follen's Pond in Bobacusset Territory, now Yarmouth, on Cape Cod. This land is now within the bounds of Dennis. On 17 June 1641 (16 days after getting this grant) Francis was married to Isabel, daughter of William Twining. This is the first marriage of record at Yarmouth, and it lasted for 55 years.
The young couple lived in Boston until after the birth of their first child in 1642, but removed to Yarmouth before the second child was born in 1645. In 1658 Francis had a grant of 10 acres of land 15 miles to the eastward, near land of his father-in-law in Eastham. The Bakers were living on this land in 1659, but soon sold it to William TWining, Jr., and returned to their Yarmouth farm. There Francis spent the rest of his life, being bvariously described in the town's records as a cooper, blacksmith, and surveyor. He died 23 July 1696, age 85. Isabel lived nearly 10 years longer, dying 15 May 1706. Francis' w3ill, written 4 Mafrcgh 1893 and proved 10 Dec. 1696, mentions sons John, Daniel, and William; the eldest son of son Nathaniel, deceased; and daughyers Elizabeth Chase and Hannah Pearce. He signed by hius mark, which was a capital F written above a capital B. wife Isabel and son Thomas were named as joint executors.

Sally - I would merge the first but not the second.
The first set of profiles share most of the family relationships and dates are off but dates are often off in the older profiles.
The second doesn't share husband or children and the name is a common one so it's quite possible that these are two different people and someone made a mistake with the parents.
Sally, I looked at the trees and I see that the two profiles are likely the same person, so I would merge in both instances and make the fixes you need to. If you can find reliable sources, that would be good obviously. I don't know what is available but if it were me, I would first check Google books and then if there's nothing there, check other online sources.
Brendan, or others.. What do you think about this possible merge? Looks a little iffy to me, due to the re-occurance of Sybil shaw... Your opinion please?
