Erica: Are you supposed to report Abandoned Tree on the profile of
(a) The owner of the Abandoned Tree; or
(b) The profiles themselves that are abandoned; or
(c) Both
Also sometimes when you report something, Geni responds that it has already been reported. Does anyone know - does that mean that your report is ignored? Perhaps you gave more info than the original reporter - is that extra info captured?
Are the reporters of an issue ever informed on resolution? The first reporter only or all reporters?
HI there,
Hoping for some help to split a tree where a profile has been added by mistake..
I have a Robert Turner (Robert H. Turner) who is married to Lola Dopp.
It also shows him married to Eva ? (Eva Turner) and Molly Norvok (Molly Norvok)
I have tried to correct the mistake by editing the relationship to remove the incorrect relationships - but it will not work because it says that it will split the tree - which is what is required.
Can a Curator help, please?
thanks in anticipation.

I asked: "Also sometimes when you report something, Geni responds that it has already been reported. Does anyone know - does that mean that your report is ignored? Perhaps you gave more info than the original reporter - is that extra info captured?"
The functionality has now changed so that if you try to report something, the system tells you if it has already been reported and does not let you report again - so my question does not arise. You don't get a second chance to add more info to a report.
It means you can't report a discussion post or a profile for more than one reason - eg both spammer and inappropriate language; or claimed historic profile and abandoned tree. You also don't know in which category it was previously reported, or when.
Do reports from PROs get higher priority than from non-PROs? It could create a bottleneck if a non-PRO low priority report has already been made, and this stops a PRO making a later higher priority report.

Are you familiar with / been using the new Knowledge Base / Help Center?
Many of your points can be made as enhancement requests / bug reports and then cross referenced.
That is really the best place for them as users cannot help you especially us lowly, most humble and definitely NOT Geni support Curators. :<
P.S. I'd really like this discussion to get back "on topic."
Marie-Madeleine Paradis
According to my records, she was married ONLY to Nicolas Roussin in 1667 at the age of 14, gave birth to one child, Marie Anne Roussin on Nov. 25, 1669, and died on November 29, 1669, at the age of 16, so my question is this, how could she be married to a Paul Choret?
Ok, I am pretty good at figuring out puzzles, but this one has me stumped. John le Strange, Baron Strange of Knockyn
Husband of both women below. His mother is also mother of Maud 1251. His Daughter is also a Maud? or Matilda Le Strange
Well, the Le Strange name isappropriate...it is very strange. I am VERY confused....Help Please
If they have a curator, email the curator. Or if near by le Strange profiles have a curator, email that person. It's incredibly common for multiple generations to have the same name and that results in a lot of similar profiles for different people so you have to be very careful. If in doubt, I leave it to those who know that family or I go and do detailed research first before making any decision about a merge.
