Jeff, I had one case today. one side of the merge was not a collaborator so I looked, sure enough no activity so I requested management. Had the option to take one or all 26. I took them all so other merges could be done and will share management with anyone who wants them. I have been asking Geni for notifications but they have taken no action :-(
OK, well I think I am going to do a Contact File just like I have for my physical research...Who and when I contact, and if I get a response. This one will also have a spot for When the person was last active. Then maybe I will be able to keep track better. I have 7 posts out with no response, but none inactive more than 11 months.

Private User
Ashiya, one of only two Geni staffers to serve all us Geni users, explained the process in the post I linked above.
Sally, I believe Zeruiah is female -- could this be the same person?

Joshua Cromwell and Zeruiah Thomas, 22 Oct. 1748.
As far as Zenas is concerned, I believe that would be a male. I have found references to a Zenas Thomas who married an Eleanor Savage in early 1800's. (see http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?zenas::savage::3...)
I have fixed the gender on both profiles, but, not knowing anything about this area of the tree, have not added the sources I just mentioned.
Re Deborah Jacob and the two Nathaniel Thomas.
This one has been running for a few days with at least two curators involved - Jenna and Maria - if not more. I was previously involved with some messaging between Jenna and myself.
Thanks to Maria for creating the two MPs as I suggested. This has helped a lot.
I think I finally fixed the generation issue by breaking the marriage link between Deborah Thomas and Capt. Nathaniel Thomas
Two other relatively minor points remain:
1. Dorothy Thomas either has the wrong birth date or is in the wrong generation. I do not have edit access to that profile.
2. What is the maiden name of Deborah Thomas ? The profile has Jacobs; the display name and About Me have Jacob. [I appreciate that these could have been somewhat interchangeable at the time]
Sally,
re: Zenas Thomas -- His profile is public and he is marked as deceased. The profile manager IS an ACTIVE Geni user -- last online in January. Have you sent her a collaboration request? Curators will step in gladly when the profile manager is either inactive or unresponsive but collaboration is the first resort and curators the last resort.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have accidentally merged two trees, but afterwards I found out that these two trees are not identical. However, I would be really grateful if you could split those two trees.
Specifically it is profile of Karel Prokes (Karel Bohumil Prokes) which doesn't belong to my tree. More precisely Karel Prokes (Karel Bohumil Prokes) is not the son of Karel Prokeš (http://www.geni.com/people/Karel-Proke%C5%A1/6000000001208048937) and Marie Prokešová (born Jurčagová) (http://www.geni.com/people/Marie-Proke%C5%A1ov%C3%A1/60000000012080...).
Actually, I have tried to change "relationships" in "edit profile" section, but I was unable to do so. Although I clicked on the "remove" button after I had selected relationship with parents, nothing happened.
Please can you help me?
Sincerely,
Jan Prokeš
