Sorry, Hatte, only way to correct the name of a project is to delete it. If you catch it before any work is done, that's a very workable solution. If others are working on it, it's a bit of a pain to do.
You would have to create the new project with the correct name. You would have to copy any scope, resources, etc. You have to take all profiles out of the "incorrect" project and add them to the new one. You have to alert any collaborators about what is happening. You have to get anyone who has contributed to a project discussion to delete their post in the "incorrect" project and repost it to the new one. Once everything is transferred, you can delete the now empty project.
Most of us just live with the incorrect title.
Could someone please assist with the following merge:

Thanks!
Leslie, it's done! Thanks, Della

Thanks Jenna and Della and anyone else who tried that merge for me. I was afraid it wasn't going to work. The manager of that other profile hasn't been online since 2007. I think I reported her as an abandoned tree.
I guess my only hope is that Private User can merge it since he is connected to her. I have a collaboration request pending, but he hasn't been online since November.
Does anybody know how long it takes to resolve the abandon profiles?
Hey Dave - that was quick - you're awesome! Can you do this one too:

Thanks!
Hi All
We are struggling to merge these two profiles although Hettie Dann has accepted my collaboration request. There are two profiles for her as per links below. Let me know how we can solve this
Hettie Dann
Unknown Profile
Thank you
Edward,
BOTH of those profiles are claimed! i.e. they belong to Hettie. As such ONLY Hettie can merge them (regardless of Collaborators, or Curators for that matter). This complicates things a bit, but not much!
I'll try and make this as painless as possible. I sent the "three" of you a link (and merge-request to the Hetties). Hettie will then need to log into each account, and accept the request to merge, by clicking on the link.
If that doesn't work for some reason, please send me a message, and I'll try and do this the long way.
Having done that merge, she should now manage both sets of her profiles. But as the profiles of her immediate duplicate families are all private, the only way YOU can help merge them, is if you are a member of her Family-Group. She can invite you, via the Add option under the "More Actions V" menu item (under Send Message).
