Oton Zagorc ... as you read there, those limitations are Geni's current policy rules regarding GEDCOM exports.

The intent is to deter folks from export great amounts of Geni profiles that OTHER people have worked on, thus being able to take that work elsewhere and import it as if it were their own work.

With the '4x' portion of that policy (4 times the number of profiles you have added) the intent is (as I understand it) that one can use the GEDCOM export to save a copy of your own work (and nearby 'relatives') into a local machine (e.g. into a desktop genealogy program) for backup or more detailed analysis.

Oton Zagorc (and Dan) - that Wiki is obsolete (It says last updated 2009 - so way out of date, lots of changes since 2009). Mike recently mentioned the Current policy here: http://www.geni.com/discussions/136757?msg=961564

"you may export a GEDCOM file focused on yourself, your immediate family (unless they are claimed and blocking you) and any profile that you are credited as the creator. There is no difference between basic and Pro for this rule."

I listed my 2nd great grandfather. He is dead. Yall are telling me I can't edit him. What is up with that. It said he has to. He can't because he is dead. Please fix it. That's not the only one either.

I need assitance again.

Today I worked on Isidor Isacson, former Isaaksohn, who is in Geni as Isaac
which was not his name. I added some family members.
I also merged some of the family because there were one or sometimes two duplicates and I still have to put two siblings to the family when I suddenly realized that I couldn't put them in. I clicked on "View Tree" looked for the
name "sibling" underneath but it was away. What happened? Even my own profiles I couldn't add a sibbling to.

Can you please help?

And I have put in Herbert Isacson and Hildegard nee Phillips and merged Hildegard with a profile of Hillel Littoff but those profiles are gone. Why?
All those profiles of the Isacson Family I have put in vanished.
And I have to connect them to the Gompertz ancestors somewhere the next days I can't do this also.
Is it possible that someone deleted those profiles?

The confusion comes because there is a pending merge with another Herbert Isacson in a 'disconnected' tree. You may want to 'cancel' (reject) that merge at the present time until you get the rest of the family sorted out (merge: http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000027791577697)

Could someone please remove Arjanlal Nichani as her father? He is actually her husband's father.

She's listed as being married to her half brother right now, which is not the case. I am not able to remove the incorrect relationship through the relationships tab.

It's exactly the same "Herbert Isacson" though Franklin declared Isidor only as
Isaac Isacson. I don't know if I should merge it once more (already had merged)
because I have the feeling that he deleted all the others.

Ingrid - When I look at Compare the Profiles I see they are in Different Trees - therefore all you can do is request the merge - which you have already done -- you cannot complete it - that has to be done by somebody in the other side. Or you can cancel the request. (Clicking on the Manager of the Other versions - then clicking on Actions - see Abandoned Tree as option - so he has not been on line in very long time).

I recently merged trees with Akshita Nichani, but I am unable to see the profiles created or solely managed by her. She's a very young girl of maybe 9 or so. God bless her--her heart was in the right place but she made a bit of a mess.

Can a curator please complete these merges? I am unable to do so as half of the nodes are private. Thank you.
