Private - re: "she was adpoted so i am not sure how to handle her parents." - if you know the family she was adopted into - which to many is her "real" family - then you list them as her parents, siblings, etc. -- absolutely exactly as if not adopted -- just put comment in About that she is adopted, so-and-so are her adopted parents, biological parents are unknown (or unknown at this time). It is only when you know both sets that Geni gets a bit hairy.

Hello Curators. I was just speaking to:

Thank you Eldon. That is the problem. She cannot log onto Geni. I don't understand it either since when you look at the profile, it looks like she was here before. I will let her know.

There are three profiles in question all of them MP, I was asked the question if they are the same person. They appear that they could be, but I don't have enough information on the profiles.

adm., March 25, 1684, bond 1718. Adm. again granted to his great grandson,
John Corliss of Hv., 1723, and another inv. 1728-9. Joanna Davis was therefore dau. of Thomas, not sister, as given in Corliss Genealogy.

It looks to me like the surname of the wife of George Soule, son of George Soule of the Mayflower is UNKNOWN:

So she would not be the daughter of Joanna Davis daughter of Thomas Davis and wife of George Corliss. I think Erin's profile is accurate but the other two need to be looked at closely unless someone has found other sources.

"(2138) David Thomas' death record is not in the vital record book, however I do have the inventory here with the date of 12 Dec. 1689. It says,

'Joanna relict widow of the within : named David Thomas (can't read this word) approved before William Bradford Esq.'
then goes on to name the others. It seems Joanna inherited the whole of it, quite unusual in those days. (2139ix) Mary and (2139iv) Joanna Thomas are both listed in Boston Vital Records on pgs. 156, 161 and the dates are assumed to be the date they were submitted and not their date of birth. There are no gravestones for the parents (2138) David and (2139) Joanna.
In the book 'Thomas Families of Plymouth County, Mass.' written by John Marshall Raymond (Thomas Family Publications, 1980) has a reference in the notes that say (2139) Joanna (Davis), I believe Davis is in reference to one of the contributors of the book and not her maiden name."

My sister (Private User) asked me to help her to remove/break the connection between her and her ex-husband Private User. I believe that there's no way for me to do it other than by asking for curator help. Could someone help us?

I have made the cut for you, - i get several such requests every week..

I do however never cut such a connection if there are children involved - who should keep the children and in respect of them they should keep both parents.

You should however also remember that genealogically a marriage connection is an official sourced event you can bet that someone will add again at some time, but we leave that to our descendants when we are gone..

I forgot to mention: Notifications, - if you don't want any notifications on the line that was cut away you should make sure that you are not following any of the profiles or managers of those profiles.

That's correct, Carole. If a link posted on discussions is merged, it "disappears" into another link.

Please do take a look at the "yet another" Joanna Davis & the notes in her parents profiles. I think I got stuck on it a couple of years ago, so could use a review.

I think I only mastered mine because there so many potential spouses between the three profiles that I couldn't ascertain which were correct, and it seemed they couldn't all belong to the same person. Sorry, I'm no help!

This profile - Eduard Ezra Ehrenwerth shows to be abandoned and NO manager to be found. I am trying to complete merges in this area of extended family. Why not ME for the manager ????
