Given the MH matches on Caroline Lazarus that say that her parents are Markes Levy and Bella Levy (born Woolf) -
might I suggest a curator note on Caroline Lazarus that says her parents are unknown?
Perhaps a curator note on both Caroline Lazarus and Caroline Lyon to say not to confuse one with the other?
Otherwise this mistake will recur.
Some supporting documentation in the About would also be helpful.
Powers that be... Is there some way to "Archive" these discussion comments by year, or at least the first few years of comments, so that these start in 2014 and it doesn't take so long to get to the most current discussions??? The computers wouldn't have to work so hard to get to the current discussions... There is plenty of time to figure out how to handle comments/discussions that start in one year, but carry into the new year.
Thanks for thinking about this...

Are you scrolling through the whole discussion thread just to get to the last post?
When you look at the list of discussions on the right side is the first few words of the most recent post and the time it was posted and name of who posted it.
If you click on the first few words (which are in blue) it will bring you straight to the latest post.
I was clicking on the "View discussion" in blue under the discussion topic. This took me to the 1st page of the discussion (dated 9/5/10), then I would click on the last page which took me to the current page of messages. This takes some time to get from pg 1 to pg 265. I just tried clicking on the "View 7919 other messages" & it did take me to the last page, so will go that route in the future. Still, we don't need to have 7900 & some messages dragged from computer to computer.
It would be nice if the early couple of years could somehow be archived-- available if needed, maybe in "folders" like I have in my email system. I realize this would take some time & wouldn't be a priority, but, it would be nice... Do we really need to see discussions from 2009 - 13??? Many of the issues that came up in those early years of this discussion are no longer valid concerns due to changes & modifications within Geni!!! I'm not suggesting to get rid of them, just put them in a folder or several folders (by year???) on the left side of the 1st pg where "Participants", "Profiles Mentioned", "Related Projects" are listed. Keep the original message, & put a message underneath as to what has been done with those archived, how to access them & any other pertinent info & a note that the following messages are now from 2014. Does that make sense??? Is this even possible???

Private User in this case, a pointer to the marriage records and the child baptism records seems sufficient to establish that they're different - if the parents are listed on one of the marriage records of one of them, that also establishes which is which.
at the moment, one could argue that either could be the child of Makes and Bella - if we can have documentation that one of them is, and that the other one isn't the same person, that's enough to settle the case.
Caroline Lazarus was born in London and Caroline Lyon was born in Plymouth. That shows the difference.
I found a 1851 and 1861 census for what I think could be Caroline Lazarus:
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
The following census are Caroline Lazarus after she married:
1901 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
1891 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
1871 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
Caroline Lazarus (Levy) marriage record: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
Caroline Lyon public tree on ancestry which shows parents as Markes Levy and Bella Woolf, shows her husband as Solomon Lyon and birth place as Plymouth, Devon:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/60281/person/58860674
In case that wasn't enough here is census for Markes and Bella Levy which shows residence as Plymouth Devon:
1871 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
1861 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
1851 census: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSA...
Since all anyone not logged in to Ancestry gets is an Ad to Join - think you should download each Census, then upload/add to the Profile as a Document. Tho might be helpful to mention in the About that the Census is in the Documents -- probably also with a summary of the relevant info on that Census. A link in "About" to something folks cannot see is not useful.
I noticed a mistake in the Geni software, this seemed like an obvious place to mention it.
Jannis Cremer van Rossen
On Jannis' profile page in the Immediate Family section it lists Jan Jans Mooskoocker as his "Step Father".
This is wrong.
Jan was the first husband of Jannis' mother. Jan died 6 years before Jannis was born, by no stretch could he be thought of as Jannis' step father.
I have checked the mother's profile and the marriage order is correct showing that Jan was husband #1.
I also checked that Jan's death date is in his profile, but even if he was alive he would not be Jannis' "step father".
