Belitje van Emden

Rosette Bing is married with Salomon Stad and parents of b
They has a son Abraham

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Robert

Robert M - also need to assign the correct birth and death info to each Salomon Stad profile: see http://www.geni.com/merge/resolve/6000000025891132479

I tend to agree with Dan Corbett: it might be better to recreate the other Salomon, make sure both have the correct birth and death info, and then simply resolve the parent conflict on Salomon Stad

Hello Curators. Can you please let me know if this is an abandoned tree? Otherwise, I will communicate with the manager:

Obediah Dawkins

Private User Reported as an abandoned tree. Geni found a co-manager.

Ok. Thank you Eldon. Can you give me please the link to the co-manager and I will send them a message.

Private User
Geni does not save that info but Veronica Taylor is his grand daughter
What is it you are trying to do?

I have added her to my family group. I wanted to view more profiles in the area.

David Widerberg Howden & Private User

Enrique Iglesias is a Master Profile again, if there are duplicates they could be merged in?

Is there a way for me to identify people in a picture, if I didn't upload the picture? I found a photograph on a profile with mulitple people in it, who are not identified through the Geni identifier. I wrote a comment asking the person who uploaded the picture to write me who they were, and the person wrote in the comment under the picture who they all were. Now I want to go in and identify them, but Geni's not letting me. Nothing happens when I click on "identify." What should I do?

Here's the profile, and you'll see the manager was nice enough to write back who the people were (but in Hebrew).

http://www.geni.com/photo/view/6000000003827099735?album_type=photo...

Hebrew goes right to left - at top, looks like it says "Aharon Malik and --- ---- Malik and the whole family" -- My Hebrew is poor, so I could be wrong. Will let someone else transliterate and/or translate the two (probably given) names I left as dashes, and/or correct me if I am wrong.

Can you write in the "Comments" field -- if so - tell who is who there, if you know.

Private User and Eldon Lester Clark - there is a way.
List her family (which gives you a list of people with her as the focus), change the list type to "added by", and see who comes up most often in the manager field.

In this case, it was pretty obvious.

Lois - thank you, but my problem is not the Hebrew. From the response of this manager, who uploaded the picture, I now want to be able to tag the people in the picture. But I am unable to. Nothing happens when I click "identify" up top. My question is is there a way for me to identify those in the picture, if I didn't upload the picture.

No....

If you identity the people....add that info in the 'about me' as a notation regarding the profile photo.

Nick I think you being unable to use the "identity" function for the photo is to do with you not uploading it, it's in someone else's album. Check the FAQ. One workaround: using the comments field. Another: download image & re upload to your own album, tag to profile. The profile will have 2 images & if I am correct "your" version will be able to be "identified."

I had thought about the downloading and reloading. I guess I would like to see there be an option on Geni to tag other people's pictures. Or at least other managers should be able to tag pictures for that profile. And then if it is not an option, then Geni should not have the "identify" button still show at top. Misleading. Maybe one of you can suggest this to the tech people.

Well I think its possible to tagg a person on a picture if you are collaborating with the individual who uploaded it and that you are one of the administrators of the profile, but I could be wrong..

Hello Curators:

I need help with eliminating the parental ties for Michele Sauvagie: http://www.geni.com/people/Michèle-Sauvagie/6000000008450437641 .
I have sent repeated inquiries and requests to the profile managers but they do not respond.
I would like to become a profile manager as she is my 10th great grandmother.... This request has remained unanswered too.

Examining the tree, it can easily be seen that both parents were born after their (claimed) daughter.

Thanks for your help.

•~ Michael M. van Beuren

Private User - Indeed, those parents didn't make any sense. I removed them. Can't make you a manager as I'm not a manager myself, though.Private User may help you with that.

George:
Thanks for your help.

Okay, all geniuses, please help.

Lyman Stephen Payne

This is my Lyman Stephen and there is another one out there that is private so I can't give you the URL. I get a message that tells me the person who manages this is deceased.

This is hers:

Lyman-(2/H) Stephen Payne

Son of Squire Seldon Payne and Paulina O. Orinda
Husband of Jeanettie Elizabeth "Nettie"
Father of Seldon Howard Payne; Bertha Adell Rich; Whealthy Johannah King; Osborne Richard Payne and 5 others
Brother of Harvey S. Payne; David Osborne Payne; Allen William Payne; Richard Burdette Payne and 4 others

If you could try and contact her, as I can't and am not a PRO, maybe we could get a merge going if she would allow it. Otherwise, Wealthy will be forever parentless!!!

Thank you for your help,

Susie

I see the private one. She was active earlier this month and has a close family relationship to Lyman Stephen Payne. I can contact her and ask for a merge.

Hatte Rubenstein Blejer

Susie is only a Basic user so there may not be anyway for her to contact the manager.
If you tag the manager here Susie will be able to follow the hyperlink to the manager's profile and use the Send Message button.

I'm intrigued as to how a basic user discovered that information about a private profile as there is no matching facility, and how the manager was identified as female.

Please pass this info on, as it will help me greatly.

Elaine - I think the answer to your question is http://www.geni.com/search?search_type=people&names=Lyman+Steph...

Private User if you know the surname of a profile you are searching for, then you can search for that surname and see the profile in the list and after that name you see the name of manager. Then you can search for the manager with filter claimed and you see in the list his or her name and before the name you see the image that identifies the manager as male or female. Sometimes it is easier to search via Google with addition after the name site:genicom. I many cases you don't get then the annoying popup that asks you to upgrade to pro user.

David. You have proven that searching now works for basic users. We no longer need to use Google, and private profiles will be included.

This is an unannounced improvement, unless I've missed a bulletin.

Elaine, as I recall Basic users always could search. They just can't always click on the results. I don't believe that has changed recently.

I hope that is helpful, but I don't think we should continue this diversion in the curators please help thread, as it is off-topic.
