I talked to my nephew (Louis Deluca Jr) over the phone and now I'm really confused. He say that when he logs onto geni, the only thing that appears for him is his block with the correct photo. No relations are shown and he can't open the contents by clicking on his name. Is this because geni doesn't recognize him as being part of my tree because his block on my tree has my brother in laws e-mail address in it?
I will contact my brother in law (Louis Despres Jr ) and see if he can enter my nephew's block.
Maybe there's more than one Louis Deluca Jr. & he's looking at a different one.
Here's "yours" (held off cleanup for now)
Here's results of a search

Fred Bergman need permission from one of the 22 active relatives. http://www.geni.com/list?claimed_status=claimed&focus_id=600000...
Fred Bergman did you delete your previous message? It confuses me to have replied to a message that is gone...
the grandson of the husband of Chaya Elentman is listed as alive and a Geni user: Private User - no dates on his profile, however.
The simplest way of getting their attention (if anyone's around) may be to start a discussion on her husband's profile.

Thank you Erica. That was helpful. The three people that have photo's are my relations. The one with the hat ( Louis Dominic Deluca Jr) is the same person as the lower image ( the one on my tree). the middle image is my deceased brother in law, his father. When my nephew logs on, he must get sent to the location at the top, which he must have generated himself. He probably does not get sent to the location generated by me because his e-mail address at that location is wrong. I need o speak with my brother in law (Louis Despres Jr) to see if he ever gets connected to my nephews location because his e-mail address is incorrectly listed there.
Eldon Lester Clark Geni also says he's logged on now... I suspect it's because he wrote his birthdate like 13/5/50 (no 19).
Eldon Lester Clark, you read about the new banner here: http://help.geni.com/entries/30199160-Why-is-there-a-green-banner-s...
They put it in an announcement in Help -- don't know if it will make news on Home Pages - most of their announcements do not.

Also - I wonder about their criteria -- the claimed profile of someone who started their tree in Jan. 2013 is presumed deceased??!!
Tells you what to do to mark as deceased. What do you do if you do not want to mark as deceased and/or know they are living?? Both the announcement and the link Bjorn gives are closed for comment, so can't ask there. (if "Mark as deceased now." also allows you to mark as living -- then majorly misleading - but seems unlikely it does that)
if a profile is managed and "tagged" to the discussion, then the manager is notified and they are following it, and need to take the extra step of unfollowing. There are managers who have had to UN follow multiple times. This is an unfair burden. that is what i would like to see them tackle next. there is a discussion i am constantly being dragged into in which the users are being total idiots and i'd like to opt out.. where the heck is the button to do so? I can click on unfollow but it does nothing!
It's like that Eagles song, Hotel California. Evidently once you check into this discussion, you can never really leave...
"Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!"

This goes to Geni Support.
Erica,
What is "the little basket" you referred to in addressing Alex, 25 Mar at 7:45 pm on the "Attention Curators: Please assist" discussion. I've seen a reference to that before.
By the way, Tobias Rachor got our problem straightened out with the two Daniel Kaysers. Thank you anyway. I figured you got tied up.

(No Name),
It isn't really a basket but it sort of looks like one. We could call it a 'thing a me jig' or make up another name for it..
It could be that only Pros can see it. When I go to random profile page and there is a path to me I can check to see if it's changed by clicking on the 'little basket'. I can find it to the right of the description of the path.
When I checked my relationship to you I saw; "Sylvia Margaret Hertel is your grandmother's husband's wife's aunt's husband's second cousin four times removed's wife's fifth cousin once removed." The basket is next to the period :-)
Ann,
Evidently it's only visible to Pro's. All I've ever seen next to where Geni is trying to find a path, is a push pin to click on to get it to direct a path to you, or something. It's never done anything for me, so I guess I've gotten to where I sort of ignore it, or maybe I just don't know how it's supposed to work.
Thanks for the answer anyway.

(No Name) I call the symbol two arrows forming a circle, because that's how I see it. Apparently it appears if the path is more than a week old for non-pros, after a day or so for pros, and quite soon for curators - but it does not always appear.
When it appears, it appears next to the relationship text, and if you hover over it, you can see when the path was last updated.
Hope this informs!
It informed me. I didn't even know you could find the date stamp. :). Thank you, Ann & Harald.
