It drives me crazy that Hendrik Harms Moes displays as my 6th great grandfather on direct P line but that his father Harmen Jans Mooskoocker shows as my 7th great grandfather via a twisting path of males and females.

No amount of following the path helps, no grey circle next to the name to refresh, nothing. Months go by and nothing changes.

I know it shouldn't matter but for some reason i'd much rather see a straight P line relationship path.

This is a common on GENI.
Reason is that the system do not manage to line at the same time....
From your 7th great granfather the system "find" a new path.....even if you have a Pline from your 6th You 7th great grandfather i your 7th twise. I hope I`m right ?

Perhaps it will take a while to "refresh" for us non-mortals now that a Curator has shown it the True Path. Hopefully.

Alex keep "walking the path" directly with an eye to the little basket presenting to you. That may make it "stick" until server updates.

Michael - apparently the calculation is "very" intensive on server resources. We avoid production issues by the clever caching. It's generally the merge environment that changes a path so it needs the recalc.

Why is this discussion reported ?

I have seen that happen more than once..

It's not the discussion itself, it's a post somewhere "in" the discussion that was reported. It's a bug to have lost the discussion title. It may fix itself when the server updates - I've seen that happen before as David has. If not a PRO or curator can open a ticket for a fix.

Could someone please help with Marie-Francoise Dugas (Bourgeois)? I was looking over tree matches and there seems to be a discrepancy with the 2 profiles for her that are requesting merge. They are 6000000002976694478 and 60000000010013400112. The first has her being 18 at death and being married to Antione LeBlanc. The latter has her being 38 at death and being married to Claude Dugas, Pierre Cyr dit Miquelon and Germain Girouard. I did come across this merge request once before and didn't respond to it and ti was resolve by someone else. I think I need some help this time please.

Hello, Philip! It look like there is some good information in their father's About (Jacques Bourgeois). Perhaps you could use that as a starting point and add some information and Sources to Jacob-Jacques' children. That, along with MP's for them, can go a long way toward minimizing mistakes and mistaken merge requests. (I've MP'd a couple of them; any curator more conversant with the area is welcome to 'take' them.)

After a bit more looking, I've MP'd the apparent "known" children of Jacob & Jeanne (re: my previous note here); there is one 'extra' that seems to have a conglomeration of the other children and spouses. If you, Philip, or someone else would pull the appropriate pieces into the other profiles, and then we can sort out the spouses to the right places and eventually (I think) eliminate Marie-Françoise Bourgeois ...
