I just replicated your results. What's particularly interesting is that if I search for Margaret Van Winkle with either "Samuel" or "Harding" in the partner field, search finds Samuel Harding
This makes me think it's an index "miss" for this profile or a specific group of profiles.
I will open a bug report on the Help platform and post back with that link, so you can "follow" it and be notified of updates / results from Geni customer support.
Jerrold, are you talking about Nellie C Fogarty ?
if you enter your parents into the tree as part of your own private family tree, and ask for a merge of your father with Nellie's son, you will be family-linked to Nellie, and can edit the profile freely.
Remember to always record where your information comes from!
Curator please resolve/merge duplicate for Mossie Rubin. Thank you. There is also a duplicate for his brother Bert Rubin
Hello again - I had 2 questions.
My father's first cousin's ex-husband and the exes sister appear to be primary managers for profiles in my family that have nothing to do with them. I was wondering if it were possible to make me (my father uses Geni passively and i am inherinting his research anyway at some point he keeps telling me) the primary manager.
I have also been cleaning up the "abandoned tree's" around my tree and was wondering if there was an easier way to do it rather that just looking through my collaborators, followers, and those I am following.

Hi
Can anyone find out who was the father of this profile before the changed took place?
Yehuda Leib (Leiba) Rubashov
Is it a bag that one can not see this change?

Let me try your questions.
1) primary manager. You could raise a case on the https://www.geni.com/sso/zendesk/login?return_to=http%3A%2F%2Fhelp.... explaining the family situation to Geni Customer Support & see if there's anything they can do to reshuffle the managers so you receive messages
2) cleaning up - in profile view, actions menu (drop down) view nearby merge issues. That is a good way to check & resolve tree conflicts, abandoned trees, outstanding merge requests, data conflicts for a grouping & fairly quickly.
Isaak Abraham van Zwanenberg seems to be a claimed profile of someone who died in 1898
Attempt to report gives "This profile has already been reported."
No indication of when it was reported, or on what basis.
Is there anything to be done other than wait to see if Geni CS does something about it?
