ATTENTION Curators, please assist

Hi Curator.
How do we make a profile claimed?
I have invited a family member to our tree. She has joined, but I'm still the manager of her profile.
I've noticed this problem on another profile I have invited last year.

Disconnect Isobel Seton, Lady Carrelstoun
from John Seton of Barnes. Isabel Seton (Balfour) married John Seton of Carriston., and James of Ramelrie Seton. If you look at the dates you will see this is not possible. John of Carriston is the son of 6th lord Seton and John of Barnes is the son of 7th lord Seton.

John of Barnes married Anna Forbes.

I do not think it is mathematically possible for John Seton of Barnes to marry Isabel Balfour.

John Seton, first Baron of Cariston.
HE first of this family was John, born about 1532, second son of George, sixth Lord Seton, by his first wife, Elizabeth Hay, daughter of John, third Lord Yester, 1 who married Isabel, daughter (niece ?) of David Balfour of Cariston, in the county of Fife.

Sir John Seton, 2nd son of George 6th Lord Seton, by marriage to Isabel, daughter and heiress of Balfour of Cariston, succeeded to the estate became the 1st Baron of Cariston.
During the absence of his brother George 7th Lord Seton, abroad, a report of his lordship's decease having reached Scotland, Sir John Seton was put in possession of his whole estate, as appears by a charter under the Great Seal, dated 1545.
He had also assumed the titles of Lord Seton, and sat in parliament as a peer; but, on his brother's return, was justly dispossessed of both estates and honours, and stepped aside honourably and returned to his estate of Cariston, although having to sell his estates and lands in East Lothian as a result.

Good morning! Was wondering if anyone can tell me please the last time this person Sherri Hancel has been on geni? She manages a lot of profiles which have needed fixing for a long time now and has not responded to any messages.

Hi Curators. I meant to send an invitation to Stacey Jones. Instead I put her email under the profile Stacey Anderson...

I asked her to remove her email address from Stacey Anderson. Then I sent an invitation to her proper profile under Stacey Jones.

Now both profiles are combined!

This all just happened a minute ago. Can this be reversed please?!!

Private User -- this is not something Curators can do; I have brought it to the attention of Geni staff. Give them time to take a look at it ....

... don't do anything with it in the mean time (i.e.: don't try to resolve or disconnect the multiple parents) ...

Something I don't understand.
I have just tried to search on MyHeritage without log in.
Two private profiles on my tree here on Geni appears on MyHeritage as Geni World Family Tree.
With the icon I have used on one of the profiles.

Do you know if this is right or a bug?

It must be a bug, because I have not marked the two last lines below about show ....

From my privacy settings:

Private profiles

Profiles you add within your private tree and all living profiles outside your private tree are private profiles. Your family group, Geni Curators, and Geni Employees can view and edit your private profiles. All Geni users can search for private profiles.
Show Profile Photo on their search profile
Show Current Location on their search profile

My problem still was not fixed. Is there any geni staff that can help me please?

They have a MAJOR bug infestation at the moment. Hopefully somebody can get around to it soon.

Done. I floated a curator note, "parents unknown," and "field locked" the known facts based on the overview citations; any curator can unlock / relock fields on request, and merges & additional contributions can still go on.

Do keep an eye out for a need for "unknown parent" placeholders if there are a lot of spurious records that try to give them to her.

Private User ... that erroneously merged pair of profiles for the two Stacey's are now un-merged -- check it out to see if there are any residual problems and let us know.

FYI - all: This 'un-merge' is a very preliminary procedure that one of the Geni engineers is working on POSSIBLY developing into a 'tool', so we (curators) can't yet do anything with 'un-merge' other than ask to have that 'in-testing' procedure used on it. (So don't start asking for lot's of un-merges just because a couple have been done so far!).

Talking about new features: Have you seen the new options in http://www.geni.com/account_settings/managed_profiles?

Unfortunately the default value is on...

If you don't mind starting a spin off discussion (you can post the link as a pointer) and perhaps focus on teaching use of our individual Geni settings, it would be much appreciated.
