I hope this is OK. In the suggested merge comparison the Kieran N. Rohan person, my son, has all the correct information./ The Kieran Rohan in that merge is supposed to be my son but the information is incomplete. The manager of that site is a cousin. There are no half brothers. Thanks much.

I think I need to start a new discussion for Sarah Martin (1738-1825) wife of John Pound III (1735-1789). I have an approved Colonial Dames of the XVII th Century which shows different parents for Sarah Martin. These applications are sent in from descendants with proofs & checked by genealogists. It was approved in 2012. John Martin 1618-1687 is also my ancestor.
Please give me some guidance as how to go about this. I have seen some notes in the past but can't remember where to look. Thanks Faustine

Also, to make thinks more complicated, the "other" Sarah Martin has 2 husbands so it is possible that there really are two different Sarah Martins.

Faustine I think the easiest would be "start a new discussion" (public) asking for research assistance. That will get us going with our detective hats!

Faustine Darsey, as Erica mentioned in the message above yours, in order to help anyone we need to have the links to the profiles you are talking about. You can get this from the top of your screen when in the profile right click the rectangle containing " http://www.geni.com/...................." and copy it then paste it here in the discussion. It would be helpful to do this for Sarah Martins and the two husbands and Colonial Dames. One of us is sure to help you when we have all the relevant information.

Actually John is the husband, Thomas seems to be father & son. This is a little confusing. Sorry about that.

The Colonial Dames application that am looking at start with John Martin / Esther Roberts

So really it's a parent conflict on Sarah - and your data is likely "fresher" if it's a 2012 app & not a family history.

1) I would add the citation to your Sarah Martin
2) I would go ahead and merge the 2 Sarah's together, which will leave a parent conflict
3) then "contact managers" to see if there is better evidence, one waybor another
4) give it a few days of course for responses
5) if consensus is reached, go ahead with the parent disconnect - there might need be made a new Sarah Martin if she's found

I have been adding convict documentation this persons ancestors and i have found a lot of abandoned trees connected to this section of tree. I have followed the correct procedure to abandon them but this one keeps defaulting to experiencing difficulties .. Can one of you please have a look at this link

Susan Mary Rayner (Green) ( Ryan) There was no manager. I requested and got management. I was able to do a bunch of nearby merge issues until I ran into another abandoned tree. Check things out and if you want any management, send me a request

Thank you.. Im sure others might like the management. I am very distantly related but was loading convict data and noticed the issue. I have put a few topics up for discussion in there for those who wish to work through it. .

We are having a problem with this profile Noemi (Nomi) Tkacz that has a bogus husband link and 2 sets of parents. The profile manager cannot be reached. I would be happy to added as a manager.

The problem seems to be that she was mixed up with another person in the tree with the same first name who is married to the person listed as husband of this profile.

It is not possible for us to assign parents since geni says it will split the tree.

Private User She is an active Geni user so she should be the one to make the corrections.Splitting the tree is what you want to do.

We cannot reach her. Can you say what indications you see that she is active? Perhaps she won't know what to do.

She has a profile manager who cannot be reached. If you don't see any indications that she has made any profile edits of her own in the past year, or her profile manager, I hope you might consider fixing up the tree conflict for us ir adding me as a profile manager so that I can.

On the profile http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000000064407828 if I had the authority to assign parents I would assign the Lenger pair as parents.
I would also keep the husband link to Enrique Tkacz but don't know what screen allows such an edit.

(the links to delete are incorrect parent links to Levy and Kuonio, and the incorrect parent link to Aharon Czesler.

The correct parent links should be like Noemi Lenger Tkacz sister Ruth Czesler.

(the incorrect parent and husband links came from Noemi Czesler, the only wife of Aharon Czesler)

Regarding Noemi's profile http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000000064407828 would it be possible to delete the incorrect husband (and stepsons) links?

Noemi Tkacz is not and never was married to Aharon Czesler, and his sons Alejandro and Enrique are not her stepsons.

I see Bjørn's question and would like to know what happened - I myself could have fat-fingered the merge prior to there being pictures. If so, would/should I have retained the database access right to undo my mistake?
