Ah -there's a parent conflict for Ben Dalfen (2 mothers). I don't know which is correct. If you can advise, a Curator can either merge the two - leaving you with data conflicts to resolve - or disconnect an incorrect mother; the 1st method is preferable.

Nathan.....did his father marry twice? The 2 mothers could be simply a matter of the marriages of his father NOT being coded as 1 and 2.....

I only mention it because I have found a LOT of marriage coding missing from profiles.....where both women married the same man at different times.

Question: How does Geni calculate that I have more blood relatives than family members. You would think that it should be the other way around!

Nathan....your close relatives are within your privacy zone...but other connections made, though marriage and more distant, show also....they are the blood relatives...

I do not know if they include the close relatives or not?

Nathan Rosenshein - re: your question about 'blood' vs. 'family'.

The 'family tree' are those within the scope of relatives defined by your own preferences: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/family i.e.: your Family Group settings.

The 'blood' relatives does not include 'relatives by marriage' (e.g. spouses of your parent's siblings are not included), but it does count as far back as your tree is 'connected' -- which is to say, this count is not restricted by your personal preferences for "Family Group".

Another way to look at it: Those 'blood relatives' would be those which DNA testing (of the proper variety) could be useful in confirming relationships.

When I go into TREE VIEW, this relative is listed as a sibling to HIMSELF! However, in regular view this is not the case. Any thoughts on how to fix? Thx in advance.

Eldon, is there any way to force it to happen? Inactive managers should not be allowed to block progress by their very absence!
