Perhaps Cecilie Nygård can help you. I noticed that she collaborates with you.

Collaboration does not give access to private profiles.

Oops, I've made it public now.

Cecil Stuart Dana - Cecil is wondering why the Path of - Phillip Lovell is No longer his wife's 9th GGF - and is now 7th great aunt's husband's great grandfather - since Phillip was Merged into the Big tree ??

If you know the answer - more details are on the Path discussion below
http://www.geni.com/discussions/101745?msg=847831

Just as a reminder: The "Lists" option under the "Family" menu is an easy way to check for which profiles are Deceased and Private ... and makes it "1-click" easy to set them public, if that is what is desired.

Could I have the assistance of one of you awesome curators, please.

I stumbled onto a mess today. I fixed what I could and uploaded some documents, but I need to have Lady Alice Browne removed as wife of Sir John Browne, Lord Mayor of London He only had one wife and it was Ann Browne

Next, Sir William Browne, Lord Mayor of London has been confused with his cousin William Browne who was Lord Mayor in 1507 and died in office. So obviously he is not the same William Browne who was Lord Mayor in 1513. An MP and a curator note would be awesome for him. All notes and documents are attached to his profile.

Thanks!

Also, I don't know where Sir John Browne, I came from, but he isn't the son of Sir John Browne, Lord Mayor of London

Could someone please unlink them?

Thanks!

Private ... do you have any info at all about where Alice Swinsted might be otherwise 'connected'?

I was just looking at that chain of Sir John Browne's, and their dates clearly precede these Lord Mayor's ... I suspect a mis-merge happened in there -- and that's probably where that Alice Swinsted came from.

A moment ...

Take a look now at the Lord Mayor's: Sir William Browne, Lord Mayor of London needs data conflicts resolved.

I also found that Alice is the wife of Sir John Browne, IV, Alderman -- and Alderman of London.

Take a look!

That looks much better! Thanks!

I found a spot for the other William Browne, Lord Mayor of London in 1507 Could I please get an MP for him.

Thanks!

Done ... now all you need to do if figure out just how those two *are* connected by Geni relationships <grin>.

Thanks! I know that might be a difficult task.

Shalom Rachel Lee Heinold and welcome to Geni,

your best option is to START a new discussion with an appropriate subject line. This discussion gets so many comments (it's now 186 pages long) that your information will "disappear" into history. To do that, press the "Start a New Discussion" link at the top of the list of discussions.
http://www.geni.com/discussions

I suggest you also write out this information in the PROFILES of the relevant people after you add them to your tree.

Hello good folk,

Could one of you cast an eye over Job Cornelis Pronck. He's my 11th ggfather born c.1630 so no obvious reason for him to be Private especially when his only immediate relative is Public.

Thanks in advance.

Correction, he was born 1565.

Alex; even though there is another thread for this , done

:-)

I didn't think he qualified as a Zombie, or is there another thread (i had enough trouble finding this one :)

Thanks all the same, Ofir.

I meant the main zombies thread

http://www.geni.com/discussions/76010?msg=849410

:-)

Alex I looked at the "history" in the "overview" tab. That profile was most definitely a zombie (mistakenly set to "living / private"). There rarely is any other reason for a private profile before 1790 or except for this error.

OK, I didn't actually make any effort to see if he was living or dead. I was tracking back thru the tree and it was immediately obvious that he shouldn't be private or alive.

I actually found the Zombie profile easier than this one! typical.

I'd like to edit the title of a project that has many many profiles associated with it. If I delete the project to correct the title, will I lose those profiles?

A collaborator should be able to edit the name of a project now without losing anything. If there are multiple collaborators its a good idea to raise a project discussion first. If you're not sure about any of these technical steps, throw me the link to the project & I'll take a look.

Could I please get someone to add the following profiles to the 1850 Pioneer project => http://www.geni.com/projects/Mormon-Pioneers-1850/334

Louisa Ann Lake
Dolly Garner
Pvt. David Garner

Thanks!

Private How about sources?

Eldon Lester Clark
Oops - I meant to fill out their about me but I had to turn off the computer. I'll filll them out later, but here is the source link: http://history.lds.org/overlandtravels/companyPioneers?lang=eng&amp...

Dear curators,
I understand that you are volunteers and there is only a few of you but I have to ask for your help.
We have a family custom to name a son after his father. I think this is the reason why we problems now - I've sent invitation to my brother and he accepted. Somehow Geni recognized him as his own father. So now we have lots of collisions in our trees and the cure is pretty easy I suppose. Mark my brother as my brother or uninvite him so I can invite him again properly.
Thank you in advance

Private User ... see private message ... it'll take some 'conversation' to untangle!

Dan Cornett Thank you very much! You were able to clear our mess... I can imagine that wasn't easy.
Once again...thanks :-)
