In this case only two sons. Both married sisters. Did contact cuurator about this. Im think she's working on it, She's probably been busy with other things as I have not heard from her., Hopefully soon, Just check and someone has done just that, put a comment into profile. So hopefully this can be resolved.
Private User -- What I think Maria was pointing out is that the ambiguity of the parentage may not be resolved for a long time, if ever. The use of curator notes and Master Profile settings can help to document the ambiguity and let people know "this is a known situation which cannot be resolved with current information".
Well, that's all fine and dandy but it would be nice if it was resoved. What Maria suggested I do so to broing it to others attention had already been done. So I didn't have to do it. Plus a curator has been notified of the situayion by me. Hello, I understood what she meant.
And yes I know it's not and won't clear for awhile. I kmow what I have and I know what I know and mt paper records are not changing unless proven diferently!
Hello Bjorn & Fay, Thanks for the advice. Just letting you know that I was finally able to disconnect the relationship that was erroneous but i had to upgrade to a 2 year Geni Pro subscription to get it done. I tried to disconnect without upgrading but the "Remove" button at the bottom was gray which meant it was disabled, that is until I spent the money to upgrade. But thankfully, it doesn't have the wrong person as my spouse now. Thanks for your help! Dennis Taylor & Tina Mitchell
Hello!
I don't know which language to use so I use English and hop some of you will answer. I went in to Geni becaus a cousin had put in me and my family. Now since my father Rurik Rancken is 89 years old I wanted to check if everything he has told me was in Geni or not. He has researched our family for years. And everything was there put in by someone else: Thanks!
BUT I thoght I might get to 12 the or 13th century but to my astonishment my family - through a couple of great grandmothers -just kept on going until I now have come to Frey and Odin! How is it possible??? Whos does these connections? What does one today know about the connection between history and myth? I have read the things which are referenced in geni but would be very happy if you can tell me more! Many greetings, Ylva Rancken-Lutz

Hi Ylva,
There's an easy answer to this. It's easy to find these ancient lines by chaining together different sources. The problem is that some people accept them and other people reject them.
When you see a line on Geni, it's best to read it as "some people think that ..." and not as "this line is proven".
We have a start on a project to help people separate myth from reality:
http://www.geni.com/projects/Descents-from-Antiquity/12283
The best way to help is find a link you think is wrong and post a public message. That gives everyone a chance to discuss it, and decide whether to keep the link or cut it.
Of course, for many of the really ancient lines, *all* the sources must be characterized as myths - so we're trying to make sure the profiles are well sourced so that we can see exactly where the story comes from; that's the best we can do. Reading those ancient stories can be quite entertaining at times - but yes, it's definitely "some people think that...", or even "some people once upon a time thought that...".

Hi Ylva
You are my 14th cousin once removed. The line between us with a lot of interesting people makes ourselves to the living points. I am sure that you exist and can ensure you I do. In geni we are related. I think it is healthy to view all possibilities and also doubt that eveything is not correct. But the line give us a chance to connect us genetically, culturally and historically. When I find a very black curly hairstraw among my other normally darkblond hair. I do not know how I got it. But I can see and feel it and it makes me laugh.
Here is a problem, some of the children of the son are listed as the children of the grandparents. Can a curator check to see what is correct as far as dates of births of these children. This the Banks line...
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000014645581002?resolve=6...
Here we also have a problem, I think. How is it possible for Moses to have a son Moses when Moses the father is only 12 years old?
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/3247482?resolve=3247482
Clearly either there is a wrong birth date for the parent or a wrong date for the son. Or maybe they are one and the same with a wrong date.
re: the Banks (today at hh:08) ... I think that getting the merges completed first would be helpful; I've contacted the manager (who was online recently and seems to be 'active').
re: dates ... identifying 'who belongs where' is not particularly a curator-specific task; anyone can find sources and look at the dates.
Yes, it may be easier and/or necessary for a curator "move the connections" once the data is available, but I did not see any Sources or "About" information on any of the 1/2 dozen profiles I looked at just now.
Hola... I seem to have lost Stephen Hopkins from my tree, and there appears to be no way to put him back in, there is also a merge for Constance Hopkins Snow that needs to be done, I have requested it along with others. Here is the profile of Constance...
Constance (Hopkins) Snow, "Mayflower" Passenger
Can someone put Stephen back in my tree? and perhaps merge Constance's profile?
Sally this user John Koehler added a profile for Constance Snow on Sept 14th try sending a request to Collaborate
Can someone please help make this profile public? It's way too old to be set to private. George Spade
It's holding up a merge,...
Thanks!
Unfortunately none of them are active users and can help you, may be except Karen Fraunholtz who was last active in february,
