Sorry... what I meant was that Peter Tallman of 1607 was marked as MP, ( not "true") I believe it might be an error, and that Peter Tallman of 1623 should be the MP.

http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000014202718924?return=duplic...

Please note Peter has two different fathers same mother Do you know the correct parents.

Sally in this case I have made those profiles MPs temporarily until we get the conflicts of parents straightened out..

Angus, I am going to try again... I don't believe this Ann Trubull b. c. 1578 was married to this John Swain the younger, b. 1574 d.1599 and parent of Richard Swain b. 1638, d. 1708 please see this
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000005911814864?resolve=6...
My info says that Richard SWAN 's (b. Dec 23, 1607, d.1678) parents were Robert Swan, b. 1564, d. 1613 and Ann Trubull b. 1578, d. 1648.
Please see this
http://www.geni.com/family-tree#6000000006444086602

But all the sources regarding the marriages of Peter Tallman b. 1623 say that he was married to Ann Hill Durfee, Johanna Briggs and Esther Mars. I am not talking about who his parents were, but the correct date of birth of Peter Tallmann who was married to those women. Peter Tallman was not born in 1607, at least not the Peter Tallman b. 1623..... I know there is a dispute regarding the parentage of Peter Tallman b. 1623, we will probably never get that resolved with the present day info. I am resolved on that issue.

Hold it.. hold it..

Please let us deal with one issue at a time...

Now back to the Tallmans
Here is the main MP that you manage Peter Tallman
in this Tree http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000007316326390

The other ones are managed by GM

Can you please look at this... ? http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000008212966724?highlight...

This begs the 2 peter Tallmans to be merged. but they cannot because the MP Peter of 1607 is not the same as Peter Tallman b. 1623, which in this site is not marked as an MP. It was the date of this Peter Tallman that I have a question about, His parentage will continue to remain in question between the german line and the other line, which as I recall is Belgium.

I am very hesitant to start doing any merges for these profiles..... this profile Unknown Profile was added Oct 9 2011 and this one Unknown Profile just yesterday both by GM

Let me ask Gwyneth Potter McNeil if she could shed some light on this

ok

Yes!!! both are on target... Thanks, Angus. Looks good.

Just being curious, I took a look at http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000005911814864?resolve=6... (from Angus's post on 11/1 at 11:18pm)

... then going back just two generations to
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000005911814864#600000000...

leads to seeing a number of conflicts relating to the Henry VIII mess. Are those conflicts unresolvable at this time? ... I don't know enough to say -- just raising the question.

They also released for betatest for curators a new relationship engine which also supports translation of relationships. Stay tuned for more info.

Lt. Isaac Howland

Elizabeth Vaughan is listed 3 times as the wife of Isaac Howland. Please merge. His parents were Mayflower passengers. Thanks.

Please check

would/could someone finish this merge? http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000003350998174?fsession_id=1... it has been sitting there for a long while. i am collaborating with the 2nd profile, but she has not been on for a while either. the profile is from the 1790's
hope so and thank you

Kathy, the profile can't be made public, so the decision to merge all belongs to Joyce Mertens. I can't even tell if this profile belongs to her immediate family group. Joyce hasn't been online since March 2010 so - if she doesn't respond to your emails - I think the only thing you can try is to report it for tree abandonment? But, that won't work if this profile is too close a relative of Joyce, of course.

okay, that figures. i guess it wont hurt to sit there a while longer. thank you

Geni shows my 9th great grandfather, Thomas Stafford "The Immigrant" born circa. 1605 in Warwickshire, England as son of Roger Stafford,(circa.1572-1640),6th Baron Stafford - Mother unknown. I found another source that says the same - Our Family History, The Next Generation of Genealogy. However, I have found two other souces that say Roger died without producing any children - sources were Wikipedia and also English Peerage. What is the souce for your information?? How can I verify??

Jenny Johnson Myers I started a separate discussion for your excellent question here

http://www.geni.com/discussions/102528

Since it's a question about investigating and verifying sources that's relevant to all profiles on Geni, all are welcome to join us on that thread.

I cannot find the list of areas of interest for curators I would like to talk to any curator concentrating on colonial Massachusetts.

Eldon, for Colonial Massachusetts, you have many options. :) There are so many of us working there that we've broken it up by town -- and we're still swamped with work! Those Puritans and Pilgrims sure could breed...

Which town/family do you need help with? That will help us narrow down who could best help you.

There is a list at http://wiki.geni.com/index.php/Curators_on_Geni#List_of_Curators

Would it help if we compiled another view of the list in which people are listed by geographic areas, language areas, and thematic areas as well? Right now, we're all just in there alphabetical by last name...not sure if that's very user-friendly.

Sorry, forgot to tag you, Eldon Lester Clark.

Maybe we need a Massachusetts master project or portal?) to list all of our assorted projects?

Hah! Simult-typing, Private User !

Private User I stumbled on this today and wondered if someone would like to do a project on these people. New England is not an area I am very familiar with.
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=59988216&...

Eldon Lester Clark, we have several first settlers/first families projects going on for Massachusetts. I believe these are all of the current ones:

http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Families-of-Scituate-Massachusetts
http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Settlers-of-Hingham-Massachusetts
http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Families-of-Salem-Massachuetts
http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Families-of-Roxbury-Massachuetts
http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Families-of-Taunton-Massachusetts
http://www.geni.com/projects/Original-Planters-Plympton-Massachuset...
http://www.geni.com/projects/Original-Planters-Woburn-Massachusetts...
http://www.geni.com/projects/Early-Families-of-Malden-Massachusetts

So I'd say there's probably some interest, especially since that's not too far from Salem and Boston. However, most of these projects are right now driven by one or two people, meaning some extra help would be nice if we're thinking about another. That one should be relatively easy town to do since it's a small list and most of those people probably have profiles. You probably wouldn't need to do tree-building -- you'd just be looking for profiles to add, and then later expand.

Do you want to get the project started, or are you looking for someone else to do it?

Mistake Delete Me, Sr.

Please remove this profile I attached in error to a woman he was never associated with, nor her children.

Private User As I said, I am not familiar with that area but I guess I could give it a try. Can that picture be loaded into the project description?
