Kathy you did nothing wrong and everything to help! I am very grateful to you.

ok new problem ( or request)(: i need this profileEunice Houghton Wilder and this profileEunice Thornton Wilder to have this note so they dont get merged together
. Jonas Wilder
Book of Wilders, p. 229. #75 Jonas Wilder (63) b. Lancaster, Mass., Nov. 16, 1699. who married Eunice Thornton Beaman (and Eunice Houghton Beaman (b. 1712); the latter being the niece of the first.) (His fourth child with his first wife, Eunice Thornton Beaman (b. 30 May 1708) was my ancestor Jonas. She died a few weeks later on 15 June 1731 (source: The Beaman and Clark Genealogy, A History of the Descendants of Gamaliel Beaman and Sarah Clark of Dorchester and Lancaster, Mass, page 27.)

Done. You found me some new family, Kathy! Eunice Houghton Beaman is your 9th great aunt's grandson's wife. Hmm, a Houghton should be closer than that?

Check the notes for me please, and resolve data on wife #1? I made them both Master Profiles, as two MPs cannot be merged together.

ok fixed the data..and i have "Jonas Wilder is my 7th cousin 8 times removed." and yeah i can get some funky relationships too. here you think people are your uncle and they turn out to be something else. i think it depends on how the tree is connected to another tree. never have figured that part out.
thank you

Help. My cousin changed my tree to Swedish. How do I get it back to English? Since I can't read anything, the name of my tree is Ranta-Vermeers Family Tree.

Hi Wanda
Just click on your name at the top of the web (menu line) right side of the search box and then select second last option that would say "Byt Språk"

Even easier: click on "English (US)" at the bottom of the page.

I started a new discussion that may be of interest to some of the readers here: http://www.geni.com/discussions/102119?msg=750005

Thanks Bjorn. I have it back to English (US) now.

Might I please have some curator help with a merge...

The manager has abandoned the tree, but left some of their profiles as both living and private and I can't complete the merges...

Here's one that's got me wrapped around the axle:

Private User, they're all set. I've left the (minor) data conflicts for you to resolve.

Thank you very much, Ashley. You are tremendously helpful.

Kathy - I added curator notes for all 3 profiles.

thank you looks good ^U^

Done, Private User. I also put notes on the wives' profiles saying the same. Thanks!

looks good thank you

Kathy, I've done this. Please check that it's ok.

Great........ Thank you.
Now wonder how long before someone new comes along to mess it up
Ed

Ed, if it becomes a recurring problem, let us know and other steps can be taken to prevent people from making erroneous edits to the profile.

The website for this profile:
http://www.geni.com/people/Andr%C3%A9e-Guyon/6000000003430630703
no longer exists, it is a Master Profile. So now she has no sources. What to do? I am looking on PRDH for her.

Nothing on PRDH for the above profile.

Barbara
There's always the Wayback Machine.

Have a look at http://web.archive.org/web/20091027160031/http://geocities.com/luci...

When you load a URL into sources, does Geni save the page or just the URL? I list the source in the about me but also in the sources.

I don't know who put the source on her profile, and the website David provided is in French, so I don't know what to do with it. Paul Dore is the curator. I guess I should send him a message.

Hi back again... earlier than a month, business to take care of at my hotel which is where I can get internet. There is this, showing 2 Peter Tallmans as husband of Ann Hill Durfee. One of them is marked as "true" profile, date of birth being 1607. I believe the other Peter Tallman was the husband of Ann Hill Durfee, the one born in 1623.... Can someone help resolve this? Please see...
