I couldn't see a way with curator tools. I used the report option on Arley Adam Day and cross referenced this discussion to see if Geni Customer Service can assist with detaching.
But these profiles should in my opinion be private, including the father.
Ref the terms VIII, Content/Activity Prohibited, part 13 "invades or violates any third party's right to privacy; or"
http://www.geni.com/company/terms_of_use
There are three Geni users within the familygroup and the requester is not one of them, and we should all respect their privacy and not disconnect private profiles and replace them with public profiles.
Let me get this right - Data Hogs are Protected and Encouraged by Geni?
Why does Geni promote its Single Big Tree ? Total b.s.
If someone has Died - Profile should be Public. If someone wants to keep Dead People information Private - they should stay on their PC, Facebook or the other sites - because 1 Tree GENI site - is certainly Not for Them !!
Bjorn, when I inherited this tree, the profiles were already public. I have nothing to do with that issue.
I simply made 1 merge and inherited this diseased branch (that's what it feels like) as a result. I've worked very hard to build as complete and accurate a tree as the documents, I research, will allow me to do.
Ideally, I would like to split/sever this mess from my tree OR nurture my tree back to a healthy state, like before this disease took hold. All I'm asking is, HOW DO I DO THAT? (I want my original tree back!)
Erica, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for staying ON TASK and being positive in your attempt to help me. I really appreciate your help. Please don't abandon me and my efforts to clear this up. Thank you for being constructive and not pointing out any of my short comings OR going off the task and confusing my main objective of needing HELP to FIX THIS (the bottom line). Thanks again! ;~)
Could somone please complete these merges?

Could someone please help me how to make a picture a profile one. Not my own profile but and old profile on my family tree.
As it works now the first picture tagged becomes the profile pic. And when I want to make a map of the emigrant-country the profile picture I have to remove all previous tagged on that profile - and start all over again.
Richard,
1) Can't you go back - and "Undo" the Merge - via Revisions ??
2) If Not - your Only other Option is - to create Your Profiles - and leave the other Private Duplicates on Geni
*this is the Solution - many of us Pro users on Geni are left with - until the Private Ownership problem - is 1 day resolved
Henny, when you "go into" the picture, there is an option that says "make profile picture." If you click on that, the picture should then become the primary picture or the individual's profile picture. It looks a little confusing, because it makes it sound like it will become your profile picture. It won't. (:
George Butler, of Starnbrooke I completed some of the merges around him. I don't know this area of the tree, so hoping others will work on the other merges you requested.
