The notes shown under the Overview tab come from my research into my Alexander ancestors who lived in Oflalu, Saros, Hungary, now Opina, Slovakia. I have documentation (some cited on this website) that goes back as far as my GGGG Grandfather, Berko Alexander (b. 1801). Berko is referred to in this Geni tree as Bernhard. Family lore indicates that Berko's father was Mordecai and that Mordecai's father was Ziche, but I have no documentation to confirm this.
Family lore says the Ziche came to Hungary from Germany as a clerk for the Greman Count who had been granted land in Hungary. I know nothing about Ziche's parents.
I would be delighted to exchange information with anyone who has information on the Alexander family from Ofalu, Saros, Hungary.
