I have two questions:

1. Was Bertha Simke (Kaufmann) the mother AND the wife of Simon Simke?

2. Simon Simke's year of birth is listed as 1901, but his daughter Ernestine Simke was born in 1839. How can that be possible? Simon Simke's daughter was born before he was born?

Please explain.

My husband Alexander Tscherny was related to Berta Lamm (Kurzweg), daughter of Simon Kurzweg and Ernestine Simke.

Correction to my second question:
I just realized that Simon Simke was born between 1793 and 1829, (not 1901 which was the year he died). So it might be possible that he was the father (or grandfather?) of Ernestine Simke.
