LOTHAR-UDO [I] von Stade ([950]-killed in battle near Stade 23 Jun 994) was erroneously merged into LOTHAR von Walbeck in 2021
Then names were changed later.
Reverting to whatever can be salvaged from the original two profiles.

Lothar I, Graf von Stade is your 26th great grandfather

Ahh - here's the problem:

Lothar I, von Walbeck
LOTHAR [I] von Walbeck, son of --- (-killed in battle near Lenzen an der Elbe 5 Sep 929). Thietmar records the death of two of his great grandfathers "both named Liuthar" at the battle of Lenzen 5 Sep[1748].
m --- . The name of Lothar's wife is not known. Graf Lothar [I] & his wife had one child:
1. LOTHAR [II] von Walbeck (-986).

Lothar II, von Stade
[LOTHAR [II] von Stade (-killed in battle near Lenzen an der Elbe 5 Sep 929). No proof has been found that Lothar [II] was the son of Lothar [I] but this looks likely. Thietmar records the death of two of his great grandfathers "both named Liuthar" at the battle of Lenzen 5 Sep[1805].]
m SWANEHILD, daughter of --- (-13 Dec-). Graf Lothar [II] & his wife had four children:

1.HEINRICH [I] "der Kahle" von Stade (-11 May 976, bur Kloster Heeringen)
2.GERBURG von Stade
3.SIEGFRIED [I] von Stade
4.THIETMAR von Stade (-12 Mar 1001)

The reference in both cases is to
Thietmar 1.10, p. 75.

Wikipedia points to this:
Thietmar (also Dietmar or Dithmar; 25 July 975 – 1 December 1018), Prince-Bishop of Merseburg from 1009 until his death in 1018, was an important chronicler recording the reigns of German kings and Holy Roman Emperors of the Ottonian (Saxon) dynasty. Two of Thietmar's great-grandfathers, both referred to as Liuthar, were the Saxon nobles Lothar II, Count of Stade, and Lothar I, Count of Walbeck. They were both killed fighting the Slavs at the Battle of Lenzen.

And, I think I finally built the link to his grandfather/s :-)

Lothar II, von Stade is Thietmar, von Walbeck, Bishop of Merseburg's great grandfather.
Thietmar, von Walbeck, Bishop of Merseburg → Kunigunde von Stade (his mother) → Heinrich "der Kahle", Graf von Stade (her father) → Lothar II, von Stade (his father)

Lothar I, von Walbeck is Thietmar, von Walbeck, Bishop of Merseburg's great grandfather.
Thietmar, von Walbeck, Bishop of Merseburg → Siegfried I "der Ältere", Graf von Walbeck (his father) → Lothar II, von Walbeck (his father) → Lothar I, von Walbeck (his father)

I think it is wise to look at the direct family. According to genicom these families are very closely related.
@Lothar I, Graf von Stade is my 27th great uncle. His half sister @Hildegard von Stade, duchess of Saxony is my 26th great grandmother.
His sister @Kunigunde von Stade is my 27th great grandfather's wife, she had 3 husbands, her husband @Brun I, count of Brunswick is my 27th great grandfather.
This Kunigunde was also married to @Siegfried I "der Ältere", Graf von Walbeck, brother of @Eilika (Eiliswintha or Eila) von Walbeck, Gräfin von Schweinfurt, my 27th great grandmother and of @Lothar III, von Walbeck, Markgraf der Nordmark my 28th great uncle.
Her third husband was @Dietrich I. von Querfurt my 29th great uncle, brother of @Mathilde von Arneburg, Gräfin von Walbeck my 28th great grandmother. wife of @Lothar II, von Walbeck my 28th great grandfather.
