I have been trying to find information about Elizabeth Holland "Lizzie", who is my maternal great grandmother. Her daughter, Utha Hale (Williams) was my grandmother. She was married to Jobe Williams.
My research led me to who I thought were her parents, Richard Goodman Holland & Sophia Odom Holland. But, I've seen conflicting records showing that Elizabeth was born in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Her father Richard was born in Virginia, Sophia in North Carolina, I believe.
But, in a couple of Florida censuses (1900 and 1910) where she is living in Jobe's household, it says she was born in Florida. My mother doesnt remember her mama (Utha) ever talking about her so she cant share anything. Elizabeth seems to have died in 1914 when my grandmother would have only been 14 years old. Mom has been diagnosed with dementia so I want so much to give her some information on Elizabeth while she can appreciate it. Just trying to confirm who Elizabeth's parents really were. Where was she born, where did she pass away? What happened to her? Does she have other family? If anyone can help me, I would to hear from you. Utha lived in Lee, Madison County, Florida My mom grew up in Lee. I dont know if Jobe and Elizabeth lived in Lee or not.
