Private User asked me this question.
Private User, you added James Hughes as a first husband for Mary, and Annabel and I are wondering if you have any evidence that this wedding actually happened. I have not been able to find any family notice about it at Trove.
Have a look in the Sources tab at the document Morphett, Mary weddings around 1860.pdf and you'll see two weddings involving a Mary Morphett, one to a James Someone in Robe in 1860 and the other to William Someone in 1862. (I didn't feel like paying $143 to join up for a year and see the protected details.) Nathan, this may have suggested that Mary Mair had also married James Hughes.
But then I would have expected William Mair to be marrying Mary Hughes, if James Hughes had died soon after his marriage.
If none of us can come up with any evidence that James Hughes married the daughter of Sir John Morphett, I suggest we break the link between James and Mary in the tree.
