8 Mar 1790 - A warrant was issued to lay out for Emanuel Harvey 300 acres in Effingham County, "on Black creek on a Deep Spring Branch, the south side of Great Ogechie river."[1] The land was then surveyed 26 October 1790.[5][6] Emmanuel already lives in Georgia by 26 October 1790. The land is described as "on the North side of Black Creek South of Great Ogechee." The land was bounded on all sides by vacant land. John Dukes and Isaac Harvey were chain carriers for the survey. The tract was near land of Thomas Hearn the mouth of Candy Branch.[citation needed]
19 Nov 1791 Edward Telfair signed a grant for 300 acres in Effingham County, Georgia. The land was bounded on all sides by vacant land. No details were given to determine rivers or creeks near or on the property. The property was registered 21 Nov 1791.[7]
12 Dec 1791 Emanuel Harvey was granted 100 acres of land in Effingham County, Georgia on the south side of Great Ogechee River by the Effingham County Court of Justice.[8][9] See attached photos for front and back of document.
Emanuel Harvey of Effingham County obtained 100 acres in 1792 on the waterway called Black Creek. This is listed in Volume D page 136.[10][11][12]
31 Aug 1793 Edward Telfair signed a grant for 100 acres in Effingham County, Georgia. The property was bounded on the South by vacant lands and all other sides by the property of John Matthews. It was registered 2 Sep 1793.[13]
2 Oct 1797 - A warrant was issued to lay out for Emanuel Harvey 200 acres in Bryan County, on head rights, "the above to be laid ware W'm. Harvey now lives".[14] The land was then surveyed 19 January 1798.[15] The land is not further described. The land was bounded on all sides by vacant land. Robert Partin and William Harvey were chain carriers for the survey.
4 Jul 1808 - A warrant was issued to lay out for Emanuel Harvey 100 acres in Bryan County, on family rights.[16] The land was then surveyed 7 January 1809.[17] The land is described as "on Black Creek". The land was bounded SE by said Harvey's land, NE by vacant land, NW by Thomas Thompson's and vacant land, and all other sides by vacant land. Samuel Martin and William Harvey were chain carriers for the survey.

1792 July 4 - in Effingham County, Georgia, John Bandy, Planter sold to Emanuel Harvey, Planter for twenty pounds sterling “the said Negro man Monday”. Signed John X (his mark) Bandy, Sealed and delivered in the presence of Israel Bird J. P. Atrue Copy this 8th August 1792.[18]
1 Apr 1797 - Emanuel Harvey, along with Richard Harvey, William Harvey, and Jonathan Harvey, were among a group of men selected for the Petit Jury in Bryan County, Georgia.[19]
Saturday, 8 Apr 1797 "At a meeting of the Justices of the Inferior Court of Bryan County at Mulberry Hill” “the Jury list being corrected the following persons were duly struck and drawn to serve the following term.”; “A. Daniel Cubbedge, Wm Cubbedge, Benjamin Ward, Sealy Thomas, David Gould, Henry Wells, Nathaniel Hawthorne, James Simons, James Middleton, Henry Austin, John Becket, James Cook, John Bandy, Alexander Bird, John McIver, William Winn, Solomon Thompson, Isaac Willoughby, Harden White, Richard Harvey,, James Scott, William Harn, Stephen Maxwell, Henry Harn, Simons Maxwell, John Towls, George Crim, Henry Shuman, John Wright, Hardy Lanier, Bryan Morel, Michiel B. Stanaland, Charles Clanton, Jacob Wells, Henry H. Wells, Philip O. Daniel.” [20] [21]
Court held at White Oak Plantation June 27, 1797. Edmund Jones and Henry Harn were drawn as Constables. Richard Harvey and John Owens to serve in upper district. The jury list was called and the following persons appeared having been duly summoned; Thomas Day, David Vass, John VanBrackell, Richard Davis, George Wolf, Henry Manley, Emanuel Harvey, James Martin, Abraham Gindrat, Thomas P. Stafford, Thomas Thompson, Tacit Douglass, Nathaniel Hawthorn, James Bennett, Wm Cubbedge, John Harvey, Stephen Lanier, Wm Rogers, Robert McCutcheon, John Waldron, Jos Douglas, John Hawthorn, Edward Davis, Robert Partin, John Mathews, Benja Ward, Thos Blackwell, Jonathan Robinson, Wm Right (Wright), George Martin, Bryant Morel (Bryan Morel), Richard Bennett, Jos Butler, Stephen Maxwell, Isaac Cuthbert, Alexander Stephens, Zachariah Wells, John Beckes, Paraclete Tew, Simons Maxwell, Isaac Wells, Jno Dickes, Shadrack Butler, Laml Wilkins, Michl B. Stanaland, Laml Manly and Wm Osteen. It was ordered that Bryan County be divided into two several Militia Districts and a description of those districts was given. The jury list was corrected and 48 men, including Emanuel Harvey, James Martin, John Harvey, Robert Partin and Bryan Morel were to serve the next term as jurors.[22] [23]
Sep 1797(?) Emanuel Harvey and Jonathan Harvey were among a group of 12 men selected for a jury.[24]
30 Sep 1797 - White Oak Plantation, Bryan County, Georgia, Emanuel Harvey, John Harvey, Robert Partin, James Martin, Wm Harvey (William Harvey), and Jonathan Harvey were among a group of 48 men selected as Petit jury members for the next term.[25]
20 Nov 1797 Emanuel Harvey was present at an Inferior Court meeting at the White Oak Plantation.[26]
Wednesday 28 Nov 1798 the Inferior Court met at the Court House in Bryan County. There was mention of property sold under execution bought by John Harvey. James Martin and William Harvey were 2 of 28 jurors that appeared. “Bryant” Morel (Bryan Morel) was included in the list of defaulters. James Martin, William Harvey, Jonathan Harvey, Richard Harvey, Emanuel Harvey were selected as jurors for the next term.[27]

Thursday 27 Jun 1799, the Inferior Court met at the Court House in Bryan County. The jurors that appeared included James Martin, William Harvey, Emanuel Harvey, Jonathan Harvey and Richard Harvey. Jonathan Harvey was called but defaulted. James Martin, William Harvey and Emanuel Harvey were in a group of 12 men that were sworn in on a case. James Martin, “Eml” Harvey (Emanuel), William Harvey, Richard Harvey and Jonathan Harvey were in a group selected as jurors for the next term[29]
June 1800 Emanuel Harvey, Robert Partin, Charles Clanton, appointed to lay out road from Bryan's Cowpen ferry to Partin's Big Gap where the line divides Bulloch from Bryan Co."[30][31][32]
24 May 1802 Emanuel Harvey listed as a juror during a meeting of the Inferior Court in Bryan County, Georgia.[33]
23 Oct 1802 deposition in Bryan County, Georgia, Richard Harvey and Emanuel Harvey were sworn and stated to Israel Bird they “were in Company pursuing trails when the foregoing Negroes were taken from the said Israel Bird at or about the dates before mentioned. When by all(?) signs, marks and tracks we believe them to be taken by Indians belonging to the Creek Nation. Sworn and affirmed 27 Oct 1802 before Jesse M Call J. H. Richard Harvey placed his “H” mark and Emanuel Harvey placed his “E” mark.[34] (See attached image)
1802 Emanuel Harvey appointed overseer on the road leading from Lott’s Creek to Bird’s Ferry.[35]
2 Dec 1805 the Inferior Court of Bryan County met. The 48 man jury was drawn for the next term and included Emanuel Harvey, Peter H. Morel, and Jonathan Harvey.[36]
3 Feb 1806 the Inferior Court of Bryan County met at the court house. The Jury list was called and the men listed included Emanuel Harvey and Jonathan Harvey.[37]
Tuesday 8 Apr 1806 the Justices of the Inferior Court of Bryan County met. 48 Jurors were drawn for the June term including William Harvey and James Martin.[38]
7 Jul 1806 Emanuel Harvey was drawn as a juror during a meeting of the Inferior Court in Bryan County, Georgia.[39]
Monday 2 Feb 1807 the Inferior Court of Bryan County met at the court house. Emanuel Harvey was one of the men present at the court. A jury of 48 men was drawn for the next term that included Jonathan Harvey, Alexander (Alex) Netherclift, Emanuel Harvey, James Martin, Robert Partin and William Harvey.[40] [41][42]
29 Jun 1807 the Inferior Court of Bryan County met at the court house. Jonathan Harvey, Emanuel Harvey, Alexander (Alex) Netherclift, William Harvey and Robert Partin were among the 35 men that appeared for the meeting. Jonathan Harvey, Emanuel Harvey and Alexander (Alex) Netherclift were among the men struck from Jury No. 1. William Harvey, James Martin, Alexander (Alex) Netherclift and Emanuel Harvey were among the 48 men selected as jurors for the next term.[43][44]
1 Feb 1808 Emanuel Harvey was present during a meeting of the Inferior Court in Bryan County, Georgia.[45]
1 Feb 1808 the Inferior Court of Bryan County met at the court. William Harvey, James Martin, Alexander (Alex) Netherclift, and Emanuel Harvey were among the 28 men that appeared.[46]
30 Jan 1809 Monday, the Inferior Court of Bryan County met at the court house. The jury of 48 men was drawn for the Inferior Court and the names included Emanuel Harvey, Alexander (Alex) Netherclift, John Burnsides (Burnside), William Harvey, and Walter Davis.[47][48]
23 Nov 1812 -for the Superior Court, 26 grand jurors were selected including Jas Martin, Emanuel Harvey, Abraham Gindrat, Wm Wylly and 56 petit jurors were selected including John, William (Wm) A. Williams, Hiram Waller, Lemuel Lanier, and Charles Clanton [49]
28 Mar 1813 - for the Superior Court 28 Grand Jurors were drawn including John H. Morel, Emanuel Harvey, A. Gindrat (Abraham Gindrat), and James Martin. 50 petit jurors were drawn including Jonathan Harvey, William Harvey, Charles Clanton, Hiram Waller, John, William A. Williams and John Burnsides (Burnside).[50]
6 Nov 1813 - for the Superior court 27 Grand Jurors were drawn including William Wylly, James Martin, Abraham Gindrat, and Emanuel Harvey. 44 petit jurors were drawn including John Burnsides (Burnside), William Harvey, William A. Williams, John, Lemuel Lanier, Hiram Waller, Charles Clanton and Alexander Bird.[51]
Death
Emanuel died before 7 February 1817 in Bryan County, Georgia. James Martin and John “Shuffield” were his executors.[52][53][54] The exact date of death and where he is buried is not known.
2 Jul 1817 – Bryan County, GA – William Harvey to William McElveen, for $35, his share of his father’s land on the Savannah Road on Black Creek, and empowers said McElveen to recover all his right to the said land which is now in the possession of his mother Elizabeth Harvey, his part of a note of $40, and his part of the account allowed for the keeping of a horse. Wit: Wm. Williams, James Alexander, J.P.[55]
2 Jul 1817 – Bryan County, GA – William Harvey, planter, to Jesse Butler, planter, both of Bryan County, for $75, a 200-acre tract of land, bounded on the southwest by Emanuel Harvey and on all other sides by vacant land at the time of the survey. Wit: Wm. Williams, James Alexander, J.P.[56]
31 Jul 1818 – Bryan County, GA – William McElveen to Jesse Butler, for $35, a fifth part of a tract formerly belonging to Manuel Harvey, which was willed by him to his son William Harvey and sold by him to the said McElveen, bounded on the west by Black Creek and on the south by Jesse Butler. Wit: Josiah Alexander, Thomas Williams.[57]
14 Mar 1829 – Bryan County, GA – Edmund Burnsides, acting as attorney for John Sheffield, executor of the estate of Emanuel Harvey, deceased, and as one of the heirs of the said estate, to Jesse Butler, for $120, a 300-acre tract of land. Wit: Barret Downs, Andw. Bird, J.I.C.[58]
