You have Alexander Stewart as dying in the Battle of Dunbar (Scotland) on 23 Sep 1650 at age 22.......then you list his son & heir, William Stewart as being born on 23 Dec 1653.....how is it possible that a dead man can father a child 3 years and 3 months after his own death?

And by 1653, Catherine Newcomen-Stewart had remarried to Arthur Forbs, Earl of Granard

this error leads people down incorrect roadways......

People should be more diligent and careful with what they post....

I agree, people need to be more careful. And when I was starting out building my first tree, I was not. What you mention is a common problem. FYI, I closed out my account with Geni quite a few years. .

Because I no longer have access, I cannot help you. You might like to know, when I went in to try and check what you were pointing out. I happened to notice someone has changed an ancestor on my direct bloodline to the wrong branch, and it too has a similar error to what you mentioned. Sadly this shows it's a common problem, along with the problem that anyone tracking the ancestor I mentioned, will now be misdirected onto the wrong branch!

Evelyn Lavonne Alexander if you name the ancestor perhaps we can help reconnect in the correct location? Otherwise...

Thank you Alex. I will refind the ancestor in question, so I can can point you to the correct location, and will look into some support documentation you can use, and will get back to you.Thank you for your offer to help.

@Alex Moes I have good news. While trying to refind the ancestor in question, I mentioned above, I could not find it. Since I was in a hurry while tracing my bloodline back to William Stewart, I must have led myself astray, onto the wrong branch. But thank you again for your offer of help. It was much appreciated.
