Captain Allen Stewart - Fought for the British during American Revolution

The men received free land grants in Canada, but their land was inferior to what was given to white Loyalists. One of the Pioneers’ commanders was Captain Allan Stewart of North Carolina, who would later command the North Carolina Highlanders.
