Hey everyone, some information from the Dordrecht archives:
Ignatius Mare, j.m. van Calabrian married Anna Lijsbeth "Duikinijhs" van Rees in the Augustijnenkerk in Dordrecht in the Netherlands on 3 May 1690.
He bought a house in Voorstraat for f1040 from Pieter Vrijbergen on 8 September 1693. He is listed as a shop owner. He sold this house to the silversmith Casparus van Bemmel on 16 September 1697 for f1770 (he has no occupation listed on this occasion).
He may be the Ignatius Maris who buried an unnamed child on 1 November 1690.
Hi everyone, just a correction, the 3 May 1690 was an ondertrouw, the actual marriage took place on 9 July 1690 in the Roman Catholic Church in Doredrecht, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-899W-GT2W
Sorry for the delayed response Duncan Scott Bennie - my pc has been on the blink.

Duncan Scott Bennie this is incredibly thorough - thankyou.
I wonder if the absence of a baptism for Catharina Maré, PROG suggests she's more likely to have been his sister than his daughter?
Hi Sharon Doubell, Just some comments.
His first wife's surname is recorded differently a number of times, namely Duikinijs (ondertrouw); Tuckhome (marriage); Theikens, Thekens, Tukhens, Tuckingh (baptisms of her children). I would have a note on all the possible surname spellings. As for the main name, I would use one of the ones with a T as this seems to have been more common (Theikens or Thekens). She is never recorded as van Rees with regards to a surname, just with regards to her origin once in her ondertrouw. So that should probably be removed from her name and put into her likely place of birth.
Also the note under both of them needs to be corrected as my post above, the ondertrouw was recorded at the Augustijnenkerk, but their marriage was in the Oud Katholieke Kerk - Kerk aan de Voorstraat. It was in that Catholic church where they baptised their children (other than the last son, that was baptised at the Catholic church in Amsterdam.
We also need to change his place of birth as we now have two sources which state that he was from Calabria. A note should also be added explaining that he was from Calabria and was Catholic and hence was NOT a Huguenot.
We also need to add a warning to the profile with regards to their being many children with the same name so that people are clear that they are different individuals.
The children will also need their place of birth added.
As for Catharina, I have not yet found any baptism, but I have also found no evidence of a sister in the Netherlands yet. I at this point still doubt the possibility as he had a daughter listed with him in the opgaafrol prior to his marriage.

Will do.
The van Reens puzzled me to - I saw that it seemed to be given as her father's surname on one of the earlier docs. I'll remove.

Hi Sharon Doubell, yes, prior to his second marriage in 1705. The first fifty years project has a detailed write up on why they believe it is unlikely that she was a sister, and I find that I agree with all their points.
Delia Robertson this Discussion is likely to interest you - if only because it suggests Catherina as Ignatius (Prog)'s daughter would have been born in the Netherlands, not Italy - if she was a child of his first? wife Anna Elizabeth Thekens
