What are the sources for Catherine de Venable's parents?
According to the quarterings of her descendants she belongs to the senior branch of Venables (of
Kinderton).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Marney,_1st_Baron_Marney
Sir William Venables, of Bradwall belongs to the junior branch of Venables (of
Bradwell).
Since the descendants of Catherine Venables carry a quartering of the Venables, she must be a heiress.
Considering Catherine's parentage on GENI, she was not a heiress, since there were male heirs.
Considering Catherine's parentage on GENI, there are two options:
Option 1:
- This is the fake parentage))
Option 2:
- Marney descendants of Catherine, for some reason, decided to carry the Venables quartering on their escutcheon even if they did not have the legal right to do so.
- Marney descendants of Catherine, for some reason, decided to carry the quartering of the senior branch of Venables (of Kinderton), rather then the differentiated arms of junior branch (of Bradwell) with two plates in chief.
Option 1 seems more reasonable in this case))
I am afraid there is no information on Katherine's parentage at the moment, except that she was the Venables heiress.
