Can anyone provide any information on this family? Sources would be great!!
Edward Mortimer was born in 1728 when
It is physically impossible for them to be his parents so I will disconnect him from them.

On Geni, currently Mary Hawkins married John Hawkins in 1729 when she was 21 - but she had a child Betty Mortimer with him 10 years earlier (in 1719) when she was just 11
Then her next children were born 1745 Ann, 1747 Mary, 1754 Betty and 1757 Sarah - giving 26 years between the birth of her first child and her second child.
This seems very unlikely.
Elizabeth's christening record on 8 May 1719 just lists her father as John HAWKINS.
What is the source for Mary HALLETT 1708-1780 being her mother?
I went back to ensure we have the right people in the right places:
Edward Mortimore (not Mortimer) married Elizabeth (not Betty) Hawkins in Bridford, Devon in 1743. Citation up-loaded to Edward's profile.
Edward Mortimore was born to Edward & Edeth Mortimore 1719; Christow, Devon. Citation uploaded to Edward Jnr's profile:
Edward & Elizabeth had the following children:
* Samuel - 1743;
* Ann - 1745;
* Mary - 1747;
* Betty - 1754:
* Sarah - 1757;
I think the last to are suspect given the gap in the dates.
Betty Hawkings was born to John Hawkings (no mother's name) in Bridford in 1919
Edward Mortimer, born 1728, is unlikely to have married Elizabeth Hawkins in 1743; too young, and similarly, he would appear too young to be the father of Ann and Mary.
So,
* The Edward Mortimer (not Mortimore) could not have married Elizabeth Hawkins; too young!
* Elizabeth Hawkiins & Betty Hawkings appear to be two different persons. A citation for the baptism of Betty Hawkings has been uploaded to her profile. Date birth & marriage dates look OK, though for Betty to marry Edward Mortimore IF she had changed her name to Elizabeth??
* Betty Hawkings could not have been born in 1719 if her parents were John Hawkings & Mary Hallett as the parents would be only 13 & 11 y.o.
Edward Mortimore, b: 1719 appears correct
Looking for a citation for the baptism of Elizabeth Hawkins and/or the parents of Betty Hawkings
