Is it מר זוטרא? The "S" is a little strang.

I had seen this Mar Sutra as a woman and wife of f Abba Mari ben Ukba, 20th Exilarch. The Exilarches were males.

Unlikely this was a man married to a female Jewish political leader.

More to the point, this Mar Sutra would have been a woman. Two Jewish males of the period wouldn't have produced a family, so I've changed the sex to female.

I am simply questioning/commenting on the strangeness of a women having the same name as several prominent rabbis, and I have never seen a women having the name "Master Zutra" - master being an apellation for Rabbi.

Well, you've got me there. I wouldn't have even thought about Mar Sutra being Master Zutra and being a rabbi. That said, if Mar Sutra is a man, then the connections must be wrong since he would be married to the man Abba Mari ben Ukba, 20th Exilarch and have had chlidren together.
