Queries
* daughter Sarah was born when he was only 12
* daughter Clarissa was born when he was only 15
* he emigrated to Australia with only 3 children Eliza, Jane and George - It seems unlikely that he would leave some of his children behind and take the others - What evidence ties these children to this Abraham - Sarah, Clarissa, William Muckley,

Can anyone add any information on this family?

her father, William Muckley Andrews, who got them from his mother
Sarah, William Muckley's first child."

William was born in 1834 in Kidderminster, and appears living with his parents aged 7 in the 1841 census, again in 1851 aged 17 he's living with his parents and his occupation is listed as a woolsorter (so he was no longer attending school)

William Muckley Andrews was only 22 when his first wife Emma died 6 days after giving birth to their son William John Andrews. It seems that William and Emma were married just a few months before the birth.

Because of the industrial changes at the time, there was a lot of unemployment and it seems likely this is why he and his second wife Amelia Mitchell & their young family had to move around such a lot to find work.

&nbsp

Amelia's parents, Thomas Phelps Mitchell (school teacher, printer & newsagent of Birmingham Street, Oldbury) and his wife Jane Harriett (nee Hodgetts) opposed the marriage of their daughter to William Muckley Andrews..
