Hello, previously posted on the curator thread, making its own discussion.

Two MPs of the same guy, Col John Taylor, Sr (1607-1652). They're listed as brothers but the profile information matches. Please review for a merge. Thanks!

John Taylor

John Taylor

Also two brothers named William who are curated as well:

William Taylor

William ‘the carpenter’ Taylor, of Assawoman

And a third William not MP'd:
William ‘Clark’ Taylor

Cynthia watch out it's Attack of the Clones lol

I’ve had actual nightmares trying to disambiguate Taylor families. The trick is to go “down the tree” and see where the parents may have gone wrong. (never the kids, they’re perfect!). :)

That resulted in matching this fellow you may enjoy, if that’s the right word:

Dr. James Taylor, "The Elder"

Was not the father of William “Nathaniel” Taylor who seems to have been an emigrant from Ireland much later.

Continuing on ...

lol Erica Howton
Thank you!

I created a new pedigree for the New Kent Taylor’s:

William Taylor, of New Kent

Way to go, Erica! (Mind in the gutter, it's so late at night - isn't "Assawoman" a raunchy-sounding name? :-D )

I actually looked it up and there’s a Big Assawoman also.

Private User and Erica Howton, I am so proud to be connected to you both for your sense of humor. I hope you and all the Geni crazy family have a Happy Holiday! I have just about graded my last exam. Thanks for all you all do. Susanne

An enormous (619 page) document with lots of Taylor’s:

https://www.scribd.com/document_downloads/direct/26687538?extension...

It gives 13 children:

Thomas J."Capt." Taylor, II was born on Mar. 15, 1571/72 in Hadley, Middlesex, London, England or Carlisle, Cumberland Co., England and died in 1618 in Hadley, Suffok, England. He married Margaret Swinderby on Oct. 9, 1599 in Hadley, Middlesex, London, England. Margaret, daughter of Andrew Swinderby and A Daughter Swinderby, was born in 1578 in Kobenhavn, Denmark and died in 1672 in Hadliegh, Suffok, England.

Children of Thomas J."Capt." Taylor, II and Margaret Swinderby ...

No, it’s a big ass umpton. <groan>

I’m a little stuck on the Quaker family:

Peter Taylor & William ‘Clark’ Taylor are supposed to be brothers with a mother died before they were born.

A supposed ancestor of George Taylor, Signer of the "Declaration of Independence" - but as far as I know, George’s parents are unknown.

William J. Taylor was not a child of Margaret & Thomas.

Erica Howton The link to the enormous document on the Taylors isn't working. is there any chance you have it saved anywhere? Thanks

And I have been to Big Assawoman Bay. lol
