Do not change any of your data, however sources for verification are needed.
I have been able to go back to my original data.
Here is what I have & why so many others do not list "Nancy" as a daughter of Sgt. James Watt(s), Sr.
DAR files # 58763, #667929 A 632, #391100.
No mention of a NANCY as a child in the "land separation deed" nor in any other document or DAR files listed above I have found back in 1980's/90's. It is possible she was a daughter of a sibling to Sgt. James Watt(s), Sr.
Sources including DAR files say 'Our WATT(S) tree' came from Scotland, not just Edward C. Hoagland. David Watt(s) the supposed father of Sgt. James Watt(s) who died at Ft. Freeland, 28 July 1779.
^NOTE: BLAIR County, PA is 114 miles away from Warrior Run, Turbotville, PA. 1 hour 47 min. drive. It is not seemingly possible the family would have lived in Warrior Run where kids were born and moved to Blair County for Nancy's birth before they were in Warrior Run. Supposedly they were in Cumberland County before Warrior Run. I do not see evidence to show Blair County birth of a Nancy.
Where is the data, sources, proof coming from?
DOCUMENT:
On 24 November 1791 - from source: Minutes of Northumberland County Court,
Sgt. James Watt(s) son, James Jr., petitioned the Orphans Court at Sudbury, Northumberland County, PA for the division of 300 acres of land in Turbot Township his father owned. 1/3 of the land to go to his father's widow Anne WALKER Watts, as her dower. The remaining 2/3 land divided into 7 shares (6 kids, not 7 as claim on GENI.COM claim Nancy Watts' GILFILLEN was a dau. to Sgt. James Watts). 2 shares going to the eldest son Francis, with one share to each of the other 5 children or their "heirs" (Rebecca the youngest dau. died before this date). Francis, James Jr., Frederick, John, Margery, Rebecca's heirs).
His widow Anne applied for his pension, Record # W.3367 (National Archives) with a letter on her behalf signed by Witness her son & Gen. Frederick Watts. Ann was awarded $24 pension on 5 April 1794 for Sgt. James Watt(s) Rev. War Service.
