Can these parents be proved? As much as I'd love to be able to claim Dolly Parton as a cousin (via my Bryans), I'm skeptical of Sarah Bryant Freeman as daughter of Col. William Bryan and Elizabeth Smith. I'd love to see some sources for the line from William Bryan to Rachel Metcalf Rayfield.
Two yellow flags: she was born 1740 (to 16-year old unmarried parents) and had daughter Polly at age 50.
There is a partially-deciphered will for Col. William Bryan--unfortunately not all of it is legible. Some of the children can be made out--sorry to say the transcript (see link) doesn't include a Sarah, a Freeman, or an Arrowood, at least not in the parts that have been transcribed. The transcript includes children John, Arthur, Hardy, Blake, Elizabeth, Esther, Susannah, and perhaps others in the illegible parts. The first unnamed legatee could be a daughter. Presumably Lewis is there somewhere. William apparently died before his father.

Barring evidence from the will, there would be land records to tie Sarah to these parents, if she inherited any property from them.
Mary may be the daughter who is listed first, whose name is not legible, especially if she is Lewis's twin (if her birthdate is correct).
Some of Mary's children have names that are traditional for this family, too, and there's a Needham Bryan as security for the guardian of John Rains's orphans in Johnston County, so there is circumstantial evidence tying Mary (Bryan) Rains Lee to this Bryan family.
Mary isn't one of the nine children listed in:
The North Carolina Historical and Genealogical Register, Volumes 1-3
Notable Southern Families
Carolana.com:
http://www.carolana.com/NC/Revolution/patriot_leaders_nc_william_br...
and other genealogies. A lot of Bryan genealogies seem to list just nine children.
However, researcher Kenneth Barker thinks that Lewis and Mary were twins.
"Col. William Bryan and Elizabeth Smith of Johnston County had at least 10 children that I know of and they are (in order of birth): Lewis, Mary, William, Arthur, Elizabeth, Hardy, Blake, Esther, Susannah and John.Lewis and Mary were twins and were both born November 4, 1745 in Johnston Co., North Carolina."Kenneth Barker

Maybe looking through Kenneth's online comments will yield something more definite for Mary.
I'm not in favor of detaching her--she is definitely part of the family and probably exactly where she is supposed to be. Would be nice to firm up the connection.
I'm not so sure about Sarah or Thomas.
