Agnes Mary (Leitch) Lamont, Free Settler "Cabolia" 1833 is on Geni with multiple parents which is causing issues on connections.

- father 1 John Leitch, {son of John LEITCH and Katherine HAMILTON}
- father 2 John Leitch, {son of Hugh Leitch and Mary Gillies}
- mother Elizabeth Ann (Aldise) Leitch, Free Settler "Christina" 1839

It is known that his father's name was John LEITCH.

What is unknown is who his father's parents were.

I have created a new John LEITCH (parents unknown) John Leitch, {unknown parents} and moved the children to this new father.

Another lot of duplicates have been created for this family which has introduced yet another issue.

John Leitch, {son of John LEITCH and Katherine HAMILTON} now has 3 fathers
* John Leitch, (son of George Leitch and Margaret McGill)
* John Leitch, (son of George Leitch and Margaret McGill)
* John Leitch, (son of George Leitch and Margaret McGill)

Can the profile managers of any of these profiles please provide sources.

To add to your issues I have the following information:

Agnes is the daughter of John Leitch b: 1760 d: 8th January 1832 & Elizabeth Ann Aldise b: 26th September 1765 d: 16th December 1867. Both parents were born in Campbelltown Argyll Scotland and married – 18th October 1788 in Campbelltown Argyll Scotland.
Archibald & Agnes Lamont [born Leitch] migrated to Australia on 19th September 1833 from Liverpool on the ‘Cabotia’ - with them were their three children: Agnes, Alexander and John

The Leitch/Leach family in that area seems to have married into the Lamont family often.Malcolm leach married a Lamont in Kilmartin. He was born 1755.
