There is clearly some problem here.
Sarah Chase Hathaway was married to Abraham Hathaway and supposedly had a large number of children by him, including Abel Hathaway, a son, in 1708.
This profile is a daughter, ABIAL Talbot, by Nathaniel Talbot, born in 1707. And supposedly married to her half-brother, Abel Hathaway.
I'll do some research, but perhaps someone else knows this family and can untangle this more quickly?
Either Abel Hathaway was married to an Abial Talbot whose mother was not Sarah Chase Hathawy. Who could have been his STEP-sister for example. Or there's a confusion between the names Abel (male and documented eldest son of Sarah Chase and Abraham Hathaway) and Abial (female and NOT a documented daughter of Abraham Hathaway and Sarah Chase nor could she have been born in 1707 and be a daughter of Sarah Chase Hathaway by a second husband).
When Abel Hathaway and his twin brother Philip were born in 1708 in Taunton, Massachusetts, their father, Captain, was 23, and their mother, Sarah, was 18. He had six brothers and three sisters. He died in 1761 in Morristown, New Jersey, at the age of 53.
Birth of sister
His sister Abigail was born on October 7, 1726, in Dighton, Massachusetts, when Abel was 18 years old.
