@ Deacon Samuel Chapin... was my 12 cousin nine times removed a year ago... now he is no longer connect to me... my connection was through my grandmother Marie Nadeau... it seems that since I have connected my mother’s family the Lavoie‘s and Savoie’s to the year 850/900 everything seems to go through her... is there a way to separate the Nadeau’s and the Lavoie’s for researching... any help would be appreciated thank you Noel...

I don't think that's the issue with losing your relationship to Deacon Samuel Chapin

There must have been a change in the Geni tree, whether right or wrong, I can't say - but if wrong, we can fix it!

Do you recall how you connected to this Puritan ancestor?

So let's take a look at her tree. Run the ancestor report & see if it breaks
