Has anyone come across someone called Chaim Chaika who was Av Beth Din in Brisk?

Could this be the profile you want?
Rabbi Chaim Chaykl Levin, of Amdur

Thanks! I think Chaim Chaikel of Amdur lived a little earlier than the Chaim Chakel I'm looking for. Also I don't think Chaim Chaikel of Amdur served in Brest Litovsk.

Hi Sam, I just tested his full name combined with Brest on Google and got a few hits, including an auction of one of his books. Set up your search box entry like this: "Name Brest" . Brisk won't work, it's not a real place in today's vocabulary. And leave off Litovsk or you will get a 1000 hits on the Treaty.

Dan

Google doesn't give me any results of a Chaim Chaikel of Brisk/Brest, only references of Rabbi Chaim Chaykl Levin, of Amdur.
Whilst researching I came across a Chaim Chaikel ABD of Drobnin. Rabbi Avraham Bornstein, 1st Admur Sochaczew refers to him in his works as 'mechutani' meaning their families married. I can't find him either. Besides the Chaim Chaikels mentioned here, there were various others.

For better communication with your audience I suggest you edit the the title of this thread to accurately describe who you are looking using the English language. For example, there is no place called Brisk in English. Use Brest. For the person's name use Chaim. For his title use ABD. Alternate names Chaika or Chaikel. You started this discussion and (only) you have permission to edit the Title.
