Elizabeth Leighton dau. of Thomas Leighton seems to have been wrongly merged. She was the 2nd wife of Capt. Philllip Cromwell
Some other Elizabeth was married to Francis Small & seems another possibly to Philip Chesley, Sr.
I will be posting references and doing some undo merges to try to separate the Elizabeth's
In case losing information from the undo merges
This is what is listed in Elizabeth's About section

Elizabeth Chesley the wife of Philip Chesley may still have issues
Here is one reference that lists the wife of a Philip Chesley as Sarah Leighton dau. of Thomas Leighton who would be then Sarah Chesley
And there was a merge, but was done too long ago to undo
Sarah Leighton was merged into Elizabeth (Leighton) Cromwell

Elizabeth Small is wife of Francis Small removed Francis Small as the husband of Elizabeth Cromwell
Will begin looking through the profiles and merge duplicates.
I'm not sure if the photo is for Elizabeth Cromwell or is a left over from the miss-merges.
It could be possibly of Elizabeth Small or even Elizabeth Chesley
I understand that the descendants of Edward Smale / Smalle ended up with two different surnames (Small and Smalley), but why are you naming Francis, who married Elizabeth Leighton, Francis "Small". He signed his last name as "Smaley" in his will. His son, Benjamin, was the witness to the will, and singed his name as Benjamin Smalley. Miraculously, you have changed both of their last names as Small.
Thanks,
Paul Smalley.
This is what makes tracking the genealogy of Edward Small / Smale / Smalley and his descendants difficult. Everyone who ended up with the surname Small creates their family tree and labels everyone as a "Small". Likewise, everyone who ended up with the surname Smalley, like me, labels all of the descendants of Edward a Smalley. So we have family trees for the same people as both Small and Smalley all over the internet and sites like these.
