Hi Geni,

@Isaac Samuel Avigdor is my fourth great grandfather. I was wondering what evidence there is for his nobility status? Most of the 'proof' I have found on wikipedia, and to be honest, I'm always skeptical of this. It has been reported that he was made Graaf van Malburg by King Louis of Holland (Napoleon Bonaparte's brother, and father of Napoleon III).

1. d'Avigdor on Dutch and German wikipedia:
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%27Avigdor
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avigdor

2. He was shown on the Dutch wikipedia about 2 years ago, but no longer there;
approximately May 1810;
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nederlandse_adel

3. He is found on a Dutch nobility website, probably as a previously copied segment from an earlier wikipedia submission;
exaltation 5th June 1810, title of Graaf van Malburg 10th June 1810;
http://adel-van-het-koninkrijk-holland.webnode.nl/adelsgunsten/

4. An excel spreadsheet of a list of Dutch nobility, uploaded by Gerrit van Veldhuisen on Acedemia.com
exaltation 1st May 1810, title of Graaf van Malburg 15th May 1810;
https://www.academia.edu/8055455/Adel

5. On some of the individual profiles of nobility (including ones from Wikipedia), they mention Isaac Samuel d'Avigdor down the bottom, however he is the only one without a link).

Many thanks in advance, any information on this would be greatly received!!!
