I've added Charles Calvert to the project. I was hoping there would be other profiles already added, so I could compare what I did to them, to make sure I had done everything correctly. I added the link for the book to the overview. I also added a link for his relationship path to King Edward I. I did check to see that every ancestor between Charles and King Edward I is MP. All I need to do is check for tree and/or data conflicts.

You're First, and the standard which us slackards and dullards must meet!

Thanks Tammy.

Tammy I added the documents uploaded to the "Plantagenet" project to Charles Calvert's profile, and cited his name. That way anyone looking at the source tab will see how it was vetted.

Love adding the relationship path to Edward l, great idea. We might want to do a text version as well as a live link to recover the lineage in the event of a short circuit.

Can a Gateway ancestor be a a brother to your 10th great grandfather or do they have to be a direct decent ancestor?

I add "gateway" ancestors to the project who are not my direct ancestors. Also check out the regional (arriving to) breakdown projects just created.

Laura Kaufman In your case it would be whether the brother's wife's ancestry is gateway or his parents.

I guess i don't understand how the Gateway ancestor is determined....

I have a Joseph Moyce-1590-1669...is he a gateway ancestor?

Does he have known ancestry to someone significant, like a King?

Take a look at the resources listed here

https://www.geni.com/projects/Richardson-s-Plantagenet-Ancestry-200...

That may help you see which ancestors are considered "gateways."

Just an easy question-are all gateway ancestors on that list or are there more?

I have Question I found this person and his wife. Both might have Ancestors Plantagenet I found note to it. There profiles out there look similar to the parents as well I believe. If they are like to add them to project.

I need a look up on this person I found this it mentioning family in book but I not finding name can someone do Plantagenet Ancestry look for me.

Richard Owen, b. 1611 Pembrokeshire,Wales. m. Malia Turdor (or Tudor). Son of Sir Hugh Owen, Knight, b. ca 1567 in Caernarvonshire, Wales. He m1 Elizabeth Wioriot in 1571. He m2 LUCY PERCY, d/o Henry Percy VIII, Earl of Northumberland, and Catherine Neville. The father of Sir Hugh Owen was called "OWAIN ap HUW ab OWAIN, of Bodowen, Sheriff of Anglesey,Wales, b. 1538. (according to p 209, "Plantagenet Ancestry of the 17th Century Colonists"). He married in 1563 to Isabel "Sibyl" Griffith, d/o Sir Wm. Griffith II of Penrhyn, and Jane Puleston. The mother of "Owain ap Huw" was "Gwenllian" d/o "Morus" Gwyaredd of Meredith. This source then traces many lines going to King Edward III, II, and I.IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO ANY OF THE SONS OF RICHARD OWEN: LAZARUS, EVAN, AND GEORGE then you can go much farther into Welch and English history.BUT, you must make the positive connections, and be able to document it with sources for it to be valid and correct.
