Did the "is this a bug" thread ever happen?
I have resolved the data conflicts of this profile at least 4 times over several days yet the same conflicts keep coming up:

Can someone disconnect from the parents/siblings please? He doesn't belong there. His wife and children are correct :)

Is it a bug that when I resolve conflicts with profiles with some locked fields, it continues to have conflicts?
Here is one example

Here is another one (but I have dozens of them):

The "Resolve Data Conflict" is no longer showing in the Actions menu so i suppose it is fixed.
Please delete the name in the "middle name" field but leave the rest exactly as is.
Thanks in advance.
http://wiki.geni.com/index.php/Curators still links in the section 'How Curators Help' to the old curators please assist and zombie discussion threads that are now closed. Can those links be updated?
Hi,
(No Name) is my dad's profile which he cannot access because the email id associated with it is not active any more and he cannot recover his password. The tree he is a part of most likely was created by me using a geni ID that I closed in 2012. So, now neither am I able to access the tree nor is my dad.
I need either of the 2 things done:
1. Modify some of the details in there
2. Delete the whole tree
Please advise
Dear Curators,
Here are two items I can't get out of my Data Conflicts box because of locked fields:
http://www.geni.com/merge/resolve/6000000011016563056

Hope you can help!
Thanks,
Jessie German
Beware that Sarah [Stone] Penniman seems to have picked up an extra husband along the way. It's not as simple as resolving Data Conflicts because when there has been a merge, erroneous or extraneous parents, siblings, spouses, and children may have been attached.
Thomas Gardner, ll, of Roxbury may also have picked up extra wives and may be a merge of two separate Thomas Gardners.
Erica Howton for Thomas Garner. Private User for Sarah Penniman (Bass).
Anyway, if a profile is an MP and there has been a merger and fields are locked, best to email the curator who presumably can sort out whether the merger was a good one or not. In the case of Thomas Gardner, at a glance, it looks like a number of obviously different people from pre-Revolutionary America, living in different towns and married to different people, were merged. Erica Howton would be the person to sort this out.
Jerome Rajan - curators in this thread might be able to help you make some changes, assuming that the tree is public / connected to the World Tree.
Customer Service should be able to help in the matter of changing the email so you / your father can access the profile / tree.
It's better to not delete trees since this we are all related, but that's your decision of course.
