Hi
I am working on fixing a mess that may be partially my fault and could use some help with something.

When I try to assign the correct parents to this profiles I get an error about splitting the tree.
Jeanette David Bernard

The correct parents are Moses Bernard and Sara Jacob as seen here http://familienbuch-euregio.eu/genius?person=168284

Thanks
-Steve

Steve Jaron,

Done.

For future reference, there are three ways to assign correct parents:

1) From "Resolve duplicates" screen - this only works if both sets are displayed in current tree view. Otherwise it will tell you you can't.

2) From "Relationships" tab (if you have it) within profile. Select the parents you want to *remove*, click Remove, click Save. You will get a warning that this may split the tree - it can be ignored.

3) From Tree view. Use "Move" option to move the profile onto the parent you want, select appropriate gender ("Son" or "Daughter") from popup screen, repeat for other parent if necessary. This will work unless the parent profile has been totally locked.

If all else fails, request curator assistance.

Could a curator please merge these 3 profiles - 2 of them are abandoned (abandoned trees option already pressed)

Captain John Grono, Free Settler "HMS Buffalo" 1799
Captain John Grono, Free Settler "HMS Buffalo" 1799
Captain John Grono, Free Settler "HMS Buffalo" 1799

Once merged I can merge the rest of the families and fix the data conflicts.

Thanks
Leanne

Leanne, done.

Terry you are a legend

Hi Terry, Could you please finish the second merge of Captain John Grono, Free Settler "HMS Buffalo" 1799 to Captain John Grono, Free Settler "HMS Buffalo" 1799, I don't have access to that tree as it is abandoned

Thanks
Leanne

I've merged some - do you want me to carry on further or can you take over?

Thanks Terry, I can do the rest.

Hi, could a curator please disconnect Adelaide Mary Watt from her parents as they are incorrect: Adelaide Mary Lowe

I have the names of the correct parents now. Have tried to disconnect the relationship but Geni won't let me saying it will split the tree which is what I would like to do.

Another one - please disconnect John Harold Watt from his incorrect parents: John Harold Watt

I have the correct names now.

Poor John is now an orphan.

Poor John, thank you Eldon. He was only an orphan for 5 minutes - I have added his correct parents now :o) Are you able to please do the same for Adelaide Mary Watt?

Private User
Adelaide is done

Could a curator please fix an incorrect merge on Elizabeth Ann Fleming, Free Settler "Coromandel" 1802

- daughter Elizabeth HALL m Henry FLEMING
- Joseph FLEMING
- George FLEMING
- John Henry FLEMING
- Mary Ann FLEMING
- Elizabeth FLEMING
- Margaret FLEMING
- Elizabeth FLEMING
- Jane FLEMING
- Henry FLEMING
- Frances FLEMING

Elizabeth 2

and daughter Elizabeth HALL married Henry FLEMING (and had no children that I know of)

Perfect, thank you Eldon :o)

Hi There,
How can I invite other Carstens surname profile managers to collaborate with my tree to build on our family with all the missing links.?
Thanks
Regards
Deon Carstens

Deon, you could try doing a search for Carstens, living and then invite to collaborate. You could also check the Surname listing where there are discussions and listed profiles. ie go to the search box at the top of the page using the dropdown menu there you will find 'surnames'.
Hope this helps.
Terry

Private User Flemings should be correct now but can you please check?
Terry

Dear Curators

Please undo my erroneous merge of Hester Petronella Gertruyda Erasmus, Oosthuizen, f5

Thanks
Wilf

Upon finding a more complete version of Claude Charles (de Verville) Gauthier dit Verville I merged my duplicate profile of him into it. In doing so, I accidentally began to merge the profile of his wife Magdaline Chevalier into the profile of Magdaline Paschal Sioux Woman Gauthier. If there is any way for the profiles that I merged to be unmerged, I would greatly appreciate it.

Aaron William Carpenter -- I got the unmerges for Claude and Madeleine, but there are things going on further down the tree that got created earlier; can you check the tree and see what else needs to happen?

Thanks Private User. Are there any specific profiles / areas in the tree that you would like me to inspect?

Aaron William Carpenter --

I did some more unmerging and disconnecting -- the problematic merges seem not just to be your recent ones, but others that happened in January -- people married to themselves, various merges of people who had different parents and so weren't duplicates --

that's as far as I can go without researching a piece of the tree I'm unfamiliar with.

Look at the children of Magdaline Paschal Sioux Woman Gauthier -- they have multiple parents; who are their parents?

Mike Stangel I continue to get
"TREE MATCHES" but am told I don't have permission to complete the merge. Do you have any idea when this issue will be resolved?
Thank you

Thanks Terry Anne Jackson

nearly correct -
could a curator please split the two Elizabeth and Henry's

Elizabeth Ann Fleming, Free Settler "Coromandel" 1802 is married to Henry Fleming

Elizabeth Fleming, 2 is married to Henry Fleming, 2

Private User

Both done

Hi Eldon,

I think it is a little wrong.
Elizabeth #1 should be married to Henry #1
Elizabeth #2 should be married to Henry #2

Thanks

How does it look now?
