I thought I had all sorts of horror stories in my family.. One legged civil war veteran a few forncatiors slaves.. accused hatchet murderer (lizzie borden) obama etc etc but she said this was a brother sis incest case? wow that's a new one on me just when I thought I had heard it all.. Maven can explain that line better then I can something about irish history which desipte my dna being 45.5% irish papa's side is not my strong point I'd help clean it up but i'm sure i'd do more damage then good.

Michael: It's a horrible mess, all snarled up by people who had no clue what they were playing with, to the detriment of the few who did know. The "incest" appears to result from two mis-identifications (of exactly which "Shane O'Neill" was involved, and exactly who his partner was). There are also several instances of time travel, including a "Laura Maginnis" from the 19th century into the 16th.

This is going to require a very great deal of unscrambling...again.

The correct father should be Charles Wilmshusrt born 1853. The other Charles Wilmshurst was his nephew (son of his brother Thomas Henry John) and not the father of any of the children.

Angus, thanks for the merge - I can now access his record to send him a message.

Need a curators assistants. i was notified that a merge was done on a James Sparks Ross all the way down to Private Ross Private is my father. This whole merge that was done is wrong. All I can think of is the info added was taken from a my heritage tree that is wrong. I have contacted the my heritage person to fix there issue, but now that mess is leading into geni. Can some one delete or unmerge what was done?? Thank you

The only merges I see were done back in 2012, unfortunately we cannot use the Curator's undo merge tool so far back.

Some more help please. This profile shows Ethel Sarah Ashley married to herself, Ethel Ashley. I have tried to disconnect that relationship and merge the two profiles but don't seem to be able to. Please help.
